Default Supplements and superfoods and all that jazz

    Hi everyone,
I know this gets discussed a lot, but I'm just wondering what people take in addition to a good pre-conception multi and why? I'm 34 and TTC our first bubba. So far we haven't had any luck and I am pretty sure I ovulate most months but not every month. I think my LP is of normal length. I've read tidbits in the forums on maca, vitex, fish oil, evening primrose oil, coq10 and would like to know why people take these when TTC and if you've noticed any differences or had any success. Thanks!

I take blackmores conceive well and maca, as well as iron because I'm low. I'm doing acupuncture so Chinese herbs as well. No luck yet though, but I do have pcos which doesn't help!

I took maca powder and I think it works, got
    Pregnant easily both times.

Stay away from vitex unless you actually need it. Go see a naturopath if you want to explore natural herbs.

    I also used pre seed

I agree about vitex - I tried it about 3 years ago and was terribly sick and my hair fell out! As soon as I stopped the vitex I felt better and my hair stopped coming out in clumps.

Oh my goodness that's bad! What is maca powder meant to do? I am not low in iron, should I be taking it for other reasons?

Maca is meant to boost fertility they call it the fertility gold herb or something
It levels out your hormone levels and everything so I'd give it a go. I took it for ages before I even wanted to have a baby

Yes I took Vitex for 3 months (thought I had a shorter than normal Luteal Phase) and the month I went off it I got pregnant! I didn't take supplements so much but I did have a green smoothie most days with lots of spinach, chia seeds, almond and coconut milk. Also went off dairy for the month which seemed to work?!

    Default Coq10

I'm bumping this thread, as I'm keen to hear any wisdom about coq10. Do you have any experience with it? I am thinking of giving it a go.
    Thanks!
