Default TRIGGER WARNING : teen suicide, rape and bullying

I've just seen this article on Facebook and I feel physically ill. Ugly crying on the couch. I don't want to believe that children can be this evil and calculating.
    That poor child.
    Her poor mother

I feel like (from limited media reports) that this mum has been abandoned.
There's a change.org petition from girls at her former school collecting signatures to petition the school to acknowledge and remember this girl and what happened to her.

I'm not even sure why I'm posting except maybe to share grief, sadness and disbelief. I don't know. It seems so awful I don't want people to read it and feel like I do. But then I feel like I owe it to her, now I've read it, to share it. I don't know. I'm just rambling now.

Oh my god, this made me want to vomit and cry. How can someone (let alone kids) do this to another person. That poor girl, that poor mother!

I'm in utter shock! I was bullied at school but honestly, how could people do this? How? Just how?

I am absolutely shattered for that mum... as a mum to two precious little people, I just couldn't imagine.

I think that's the thing. I "get" bullying. I can see why/how it happens. There's probably kids I went to school with who felt I bullied them.
But nothing I ever saw/experienced was physical or this relentless. I don't understand how a girl(s) could sit around and plot the gang rape of another child. And how on earth did everyone go along with it? The other girls, the boys, everyone?

I read this and my heart just started to pound. I feel so much for the little girl and her Mum....this scares me so much! My DD just started year 7 this year and bullying has been on my mind so much in the lead up to high-school!

I am angry for the Mum, angry that the police can't do anything, angry that no one stepped in at the school.

Most of all it makes me devastatingly sad

    What the eff!
Sick sick society we live in.
Sorry but my first thought is why did she go back there?! Why did she still have the social media and the phone number?! Why?
I've had someone hassle me on my phone and first thing I did was change my number.
    Couldn't more have been done?

I haven't been able to shake this since I read it (maybe it's because I have a daughter the same age as when this all started) and it keeps going through my mind how scary it is that kids plotted and executed the gang rape of this poor girl! Kids! I mean you have to wonder what is wrong with them and what kind of adults are they going to be? It is really scary to think nothing can be done so those responsible can be bought to justice and what kind of message it sends it would have to make them feel they can get away with anything and if that's the case who knows what they will do next

I read about that yesterday....absolutely heartbreaking. I wonder if there's a reason that the mother didn't move away from the area and get her out of the school? If one of my kids was being targeted like this I would take them straight out of that school, change their phone number, whatever it took. Even if it meant an upheaval to my life. I couldn't just sit by and keep letting it happen. Poor girl
