    Default Irregular cycles

Hi everyone. Looking for some advice. I have PCOS and had ovarian drilling a while back when by gyno said after this I should ovulate as normal. After this my cycles were 5 weeks, 4.5 weeks and then 7 weeks. This cycle I'm on day 28 and since cd14 I have taken ovulation tests every day and not one positive. No signs in CM or BBT of ovulation either. I went 8 months without a period prior to the surgery so I know this is much better but I'm still irregular and been TTC for over a year now. If I went back to my gyno do you think he will be happy to put me on clomid or will he tell me to just keep trying. I find myself being very depressed lately over it and I try not to 'stress' about it but its hard when I want it so much. Thanks xx

Can I ask the reason behind the ovary drilling?

I did get bloods done straight after it and it showed I was ovulating. So we know I am we just don't know when its going to be! The ovarian drilling was done by my gyno to remove the cysts from my ovaries. He also did dye studies too which were all good.

I didn't actually know that they did it anymore. I think it can cause scar tissue?

I've never had anything done about my cysts. Just used clomid

I'd probably be visiting a fertility specialist clinic instead of the gynaecologist.
I have pcos but wasn't ovulating and the fertility specialist put me straight onto clomid as the first option. If you go to a fertility clinic they might start with natural cycle tracking with blood tests every few days so they can pinpoint when you're about to ovulate so you can time your inter.course to coincide with ovulation.
I just think a fertility clinic will give you more options. The other thing they did was test DHs sperm. No point treating you with clomid or doing anything if you also have a male factor fertility issue so that's where the fertility clinic can really give you the whole picture.
