Lunches were so much simpler back then!
My dd just loves her honey sandwiches and occasionally asks for a ham one.
She loves carrot sticks and cheese
Plenty of fruit (what ever is in season) and a biscuit that we bake on the weekend. She had simple tastes. I do try to make it more interesting but she is happy to have the same thing each day.

Although mil always makes her cupcakes for m.t which I keep telling her I dont pack in her lunch box

    Makes it easy!
DD has just started high school and has taken a peanut butter sandwich and a container of cashews and pistachios every day....all she wants to eat!

DD told me today that I sent too much food :O (this is from a kid who rarely ever turns down any food). She said "it was too much food, but I ate it because it was in front of me". Less food next week!

I sent home made bacon and cheese scroll one day and the food I posted. Apparently it was not healthy enough! No 'protein ball' WTF!! I am not sending just fruit and veg. And wholemeal sandwich. I disagree as my dd still snacks!! And she told me off for cutting fruit up
    Oh no!

DS's preschool last year had very strict guidelines with food, however the only stipulation with his primary school is nut-free (which is totally standard).

Beautiful lunches!!! I'm too tight to buy new lunchboxes or containers so my boys are still using Tupperware snack cups & sandwich keepers I bought when DS1 was born nearly 9 years ago!! (Although I got some new ones replaced cos some broke!) I'm in Central Queensland and my boys take wraps, yoghurt, etc. which all stay great in an insulated bag with an ice brick. Although I often chuck in one homemade treat to add to the fruit (this week DS2 and I made brownies). The main issue I've had is that the banana gets squashed as it's a soft bag. I try to give watermelon, grapes, mandarins, pears and apples instead. I don't cut the apple or pear though as it goes brown too quickly.

My ds will eat sticks of capsicum.

Today's childcare lunch. He ate all of it.
    Ham & cream cheese wrap.
    Cucumber
    Cheese
    A date
    Watermelon & rockmelon
1/3 of a museli bar (A special treat as i didn't eat my one at work yesterday and he wanted to have it. So this was a compromise! 😂 )
    A few cranberries
    A tiny teddy

I'm in two minds about peanut butter sandwiches. On one hand it would be convenient when I don't have a lot of time, on the other hand I think I'm emotionally scarred from 7+ years of having a choice of either a vegemite or peanut butter sandwich for lunch at school.

Witherwings, don't you have a new baby? How do you have time to be making amazing looking lunches?

Also, does that banana fit in the lunchbox? What kind of lunchbox is it? Is it a planetbox?
