    Default How often?

How often does your baby feed?
I don't want to hear how often is recommended and blah blah offical type things I would like to know personally how often your baby feeds or wants to feed.
My son currently still feeds every
1 1/2 - 2hrs during the day but will sleep from 8:30pm till 4:30am at night without feeding which we are happy with then back to sleep till 7am
Just curious about the day feeding timing

My baby fed that often too until around 8 mths. And slept 10 hrs straight from 3 mths. And 12 hrs straight from 6 mths.

I feed on demand. DD is almost 10 months.

So we never go 'by the clock'.

Day I suppose she feeds at least every 2-3 hours. Depending how hot it is too. She had lots of smaller feeds on hotter days.

DS fed every 1-1.5 hours day and night for at least a year.

    Default How often?

    For both my dds-

I feed on demand and before sleep.
Every 2-3 hours roughly (sometimes more) during the day up to 12 months.
Now over 12 months if I'm home it's whenever they are sooky, ask for it, usually 5ish times a day depending on mood. If I'm at work they happily went without.

Neither have magically dropped feeds or shown any less interest in boob as they got older lol

Eta: after 1 year I will only feed at home, I distract or give them snacks if we are out

DD fed about every 2 hours during the day until
solids were well established about 7-8 months. Then she quickly dropped from that to 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 over the next few months. At 14 months she only fed first thing in the morning and I chose to actively wean her then to start TTC. She slept about 10 hours at night from about 6 months.
DS is 3.5 months and very similar so far although he wakes more often at night for feeds.
Where are these magical breastfed babies who feed 4 hourly? Nobody I know who BF a baby under 6 months goes 4 hours between feeds during the day! Who wrote these books? Obviously not breastfeeding mums!

DS2 fed every 45 minutes 24/7 until he was over 18 months. He didn't sleep longer than 2 hours at a time until almost 3.

DS3 is almost 6 months and currently feeds every 1.5-2 hours during the day. He feeds every 45 minutes to 1.5 hours overnight.

My babies fed roughly every 2-3 hours, BUT would take 1 to 1.5 hours to complete a feed. Total slowpokes!

Mine is 4.5m and feeds every 2 hours during the day, pretty much. can't imagine 'stretching her out' to 4 hours like MIL tells me I *should* . At nights it's every 2-3 at the moment (hello 4month sleep regression) but sometimes she'll go as long as 5. It's so variable

I wonder why we are supposed to stretch out to 4 hours too.

BM is food and drink. It is hot. I am thirsty every 30 mins. Why should I expect DD or DS to not be thirsty?
