Default Acupuncture and Chinese herbs experience please

Just asking for some success stories or any experience to be honest.
I've been having acupuncture once a week for the past 4 weeks however my acupuncturist says she will be introducing Chinese herbs to help boost it it along as of next week.
Does anyone have any experience and success with this?
I started seeing my acupuncturists as I have not had a period since having the Implanon removed in August last year (last period ever was February last year).
I am hoping to conceive by the end of Feb and hoping against hope that the Chinese herbs will do their thing quickly.
    TIA xx

I've just started acupuncture in the last few weeks. The herbs are terrible - I mix with pineapple juice to get it down. I'm currently going through a hellish TWW, waiting for either af or a BFP, but whether it's due to the acupuncture and herbs I'm not sure.

Have seen my acupuncturist now for 7 weeks and I am happy to report I am in the middle of my first AF in 12 months!! Very pleased and never thought I would be so happy to see AF.
GP has also prescribed metformin but im unsure if i should take it or not... acupuncturist has asked me to hold off until i see her again pn tuesday.

@Ducki151 dp and I have been seeing an Acupuncturist and taking Chinese herbs now for about 3 months. Dp for low spent count and me mainly for my anxiety and to help with making the uterus nice and cozy we are both taking herbs, which are disgusting, but I do think it's all helping. We were told that it takes about 3-6 months to get results from acupuncture.

Glad to hear AF arrived for you! I would persist with acupuncture for a while longer but that's because I'm not a fan of drugs. Best to do what feels right for you. Good luck!

After discovering my wife had a very low amh and being told by fertility specialist that IVF would be our only option and we may even need donor eggs... we decided to try anything.

After having amazing results with Chinese medicine with our dog, and seeing just how powerful this modality of medicine could be; we consulted a Chinese herbalist.

He started my wife on a regime of herbs and she had periodic acupuncture. 3.5 months later we discovered we were expecting (no IVF). We continued with the herbs, which he had now changed to herbs that assisted with maintaining a healthy/viable embryo.. which we used throughout the first trimester - and now have a beautiful, healthy and oh so cheeky 8 month old.

We had amazing success and would definitely recommend anyone with issues TTC to look into alternative avenues.

We are regional on the mid north coast nsw so our herbalist probably won't be helpful for you. It looks from your user name that you are in Melbourne, I would suggest finding one there as you should go in and see them because they look at your tongue and check your pulse etc.

Thanks @Ducki151 ... we're totally in love with her.. and all her utter craziness!

We're also in Perth! We consulted with Wade James at China West in Fremantle. Would highly recommend him. We were using his herbs for our dog (prescribed by her Chinese Herbalist vet) so we just went there without researching. It was only after when I googled him did we find out he has a particular interest in fertility. Amazing how totally unrelated things lead us to where we need to be.

Best of luck with your journey, I hope to see you posting some good news soon.
