I am glad I trusted my inner voice today.
I would usually make a point to *never* go swimming while on my period. I have read that you can go in water with a tampon but I have never trusted that. At the moment, I am spending two afternoons a week helping the teachers with the swimming lessons for school. (I'm there to help with my autistic son as they struggle sometimes and don't want to risk him being unaided near a pool).
Anyway, usually I hop in but as I am on day 2 of my period I decided not to. Once I was there, I though hmm, maybe I'll just try it quickly, but ultimately decided against it.

Well, I got home and had a lovely big red patch on the back of my crisp white board shorts and swimmers. Yep.
I had used a super tampon AND an overnight pad and changed them just before leaving home. I got home exactly 1.5 hours later. I can't even explain how relieved I am that I didn't decide to go without the pad and hop into water. What on earth was I thinking to even consider it?

I am heading back to hospital for another stay for however long as soon as the CAT team arrive to take me & my friend turns up to get DS & the dog . Apparently our experiment of extending electroconvulsive treatment to fortnightly wasn't a good plan.

I am feeling a bit weird today. Got very dizzy after hanging out the washing. I do not have time for it. Need to go out today and do stuff with the kids.

Trying to decide what to order on Menulog or similar for dinner tonight for DD (almost 3) and me, while DH is out at a meeting.

Feeling my age after just reading that Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins is 50!

When they were at the height of their fame, I was talking to my Uncle on the phone about bands etc. He prided himself on being "with it" when it came to music and he said to me "I just love the Crushed Pumpkins" Still makes me laugh to this day.

And just to show how "with it" I am with music, here are my latest iTunes downloads....

I am sooooooooo sick of hot weather. It is humid. And hot. All I want to do is put on more layers and cuddle my family without being all sweaty.

Me too! Though it's not humid here in Adelaide, we have had a few weeks of fairly constant low to mid 30s sunny days and I'm over it and wanting the temp to drop to the 20s please. So sick of dd and I wearing the same shorts and tshirts all the blardy time too.

I also am trying to not have to buy more clothes for DD to get through it.

Most of her size 1's are winter. She has mostly outgrown 00's. I do not want to buy more summer 1's. So she just wears a nappy most days at home and then one of her 3 or 4 outfits when we go out.
