    Default politically incorrect shizel.

Anyone in here like me think that political correctedness has gone mad. And way OTT!

Have a view that is different from others. Does it get you labelled all sorts of things.

I have shook my head on a lot of view points that differ from mine. Im not labelling you any sort of thing and yet you decide to label me.

Cannot a person in this country have differing view??? YES they can. And thats what is great about australia.

So stop being so quick to judge, label and being the politically correct police.

Thats my views, I stick by them and would say it to anyones faces so do not think that Im a keyboard commando.

    Mysticfalls.

Sometimes, yes. I'm thinking things like 'baa baa rainbow sheep'. The sheep is black. That is the colour of it. Why do we have to change that?

Ugh...tell me about it. I mean....How dare society want us to be kind, respectful and non judgemental to each other. I mean, it's almost like we should just take other peoples feelings into consideration and not be a55holes.

WHAT is the world coming too am I right?!?!

@mystic Falls, this seems like a very pointed post. Who or what is this aimed at?

    What have you been labelled?

For the record, I think there is a real difference between describing someone's views as something, and labelling the person themselves.

I have to agree with Zelda on this one. It's not hard to be pc, I just don't see the big deal. The people I know IRL who get upset about the world being too pc tend to be pretty intolerant towards others that don't fit their. ideal 'mould.'

(Side note...is the baa baa black sheep thing true or made up bs, because I have never known anyone to sing rainbow sheep).

    Default politically incorrect shizel.

Political correctness is defined as the avoidance of expression or action that exclude, marginalize or insult those who are socially disadvantaged or discriminated against.

Being politically incorrect does not mean you have a differing option, it means you have a discriminatory opinion.

It's easy to scream political correctness 'gone mad' when you're coming from a white, middle class, heterosexual privileged background. I doubt those on the opposing end of the social spectrum would see it quite the same way.

My daughters kindy does. Since it makes exactly zero difference to me one way or the other (as a fairly privileged white lady) than I dont care. I'm happy to say rainbow sheep if it makes other, less privileged people feel a bit more included.

I'm glad that more people are willing to speak up against those with bigoted views.
    A quote from Albert Einstein sums up my thoughts;
"The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."

Being politically incorrect is nothing to aspire to or be proud of.

    Default politically incorrect shizel.

You say you want people to be tolerant of your differing views, but you aren't tolerant of others. I.E Aboriginal people, Muslims and asylum seekers just to name a few. If you can't see that some of your posts (especially the deleted ones) are racist or inflammatory then I don't think there's any point having this discussion with you.

    This is easy.

Politically incorrect is the wrong (incorrect) thing to say.

Politically correct is the right (correct) thing to say.
