@infinity888 hey to you too lovely. I cant really help with that glucose test thing except to say that i think everyone can have very different reactions. I went for one and lots of people freaked me out with their stories about how ill and vomiting etc... it made them. When i had the drink, the nurse was warning me about how i might feel sick but id sculled it before she finished her sentence. She was surprised. It just tasted like thick flat lemonade to me and im always drinking flat soft drink. So if you dont eat much sugar normally maybe it has more of an effect. Also if it helps, gd is really common. One of the healthiest ladies i know (runs 1/2 marathons, all muscle and sinew, doesnt eat sugar etc...) got gd so don't beat youself up about it. Another friend told me they raised the number for gd last year. So in her first pregnancy she didnt have it but then they changed the number so next pregnancy she did have it even though her levels were the same. And... i dont think you are whinging inappropriately. Maybe if you were complaining that you cant decide which pram to buy or what colour to paint the nursery, that might be better for another forum.
@Heyside hey, ive been reading n following but havent commented to you but im hoping for a good blasty (or 2) for you xox

    Hi everyone!

First I'd like to wish the BEST OF LUCK to our PUPO ladies @Spazzyp, @Heyside, @skeeter, @gorgeousgeorge - hope I'm not forgetting anyone. Will be stalking for updates <3

Afm - I've been given the DE talk, which was expected after 7 failed cycles.
So I think I'm gonna give it maybe 2 or 3 more go with my own eggs, which will give me the much needed time to get my head around it and accept it.

However I've been told that it's a long process here in Australia - 6 months? - reason why I'd like to start now to look into it and get the process started right away, to cater for the worst case scenario.

I know NOTHING about DE though. I don't even know where to start. It's whole new unknown and scary world for me. What's the difference between Australia and Overseas? What clinic to choose? etc.

I know some of you ladies have been down that path so any guidance would be welcome.

    xxx

@gorgeousgeorge oh i did the same thing. Super congratulations on being pupo hun. Next friday will be a huge day on this thread.
@skeeter @Spazzyp and you all doing the bfp dance and is it transfer for you @Heyside or will it be before then. Its so exciting here. I know you dont want to have high expectations but i still say 4. 2 for transfer and two to freeze. ๐Ÿ˜€

@LillyM my basic understanding is os de is anonymous and faster you get basic info on them and then you choose. Here is Australia you get to know your donor and they choose you. I dont know much more than that. I believe south africa, greece and maybe north cyprus are popular for os de. Depending on what you want. Obviously usa to but i think they are pricey. Sa greece abd cyprus all around 20k includes everything flights etc. Obviously cheaper here in Australia maybe but may take longer and do you want donor as part of your childs life etc. Sorry i cant help much more than this but if you look up greece thread. Or south africa thread they will certainly answer your questions im sure ๐Ÿ˜€

Thank @infinity888! Although more expensive OS DE seems more flexible indeed.
Do you get to see what your Donor looks like though? On pictures I mean.
Sorry if it's a dumb question...

Yes I'm gonna look for those thread.
    Thanks hun X

@LillyM im not sure i think ive seen ladies say you get os donor young child or baby photos. Also Hair colour eye colour height weight number of successful donations leading to actual babies and maybe education and medical history im not really sure. Also if you're interested please read up on epigenetics it may ease your mind on de in the first place. I know its not a path thats easily taken but you go from a 15% chance of success to about 85% chance of success i think anyway im sure ive overloaded you already.
