    Default Antibiotics and af

Has anyone had experience taking antibiotics whilst ttc, and whether it affected their af? I'm having root canal treatment and am taking a heavy course of antibiotics (penicillin based, including injections and pills) for the infection.

My af started right on time (I started the antibiotics during the tww) but it stopped after just 3 days - this never ever happens! It was lighter, but definitely a full period. I always have 5 days and then spot for a few more days.

Everything I read online says af might be late, heavier or more painful as a result of antibiotics, but never lighter.

Dr google also says I might not ovulate this month because of the meds, which frigging sucks since this is cycle 8 and I'm getting very impatient

    Experience anyone?

I wouldn't know but can only say that I am pretty sure (talking 14 years ago for my second) that I got pregnant twice after a course of antibiotics. Also that I have got pregnant 2 or 3 times (have had 7 pregnancies so my memory a bit sketchy) after strangely short and light periods as well.
So possibly don't stress! It may not do anything to your ovulation or it could potentially help??
