    Default Dizziness before missing AF

Just wondering if you could share your experiences with feeling dizzy before you officially knew you were pregnant.

I'm 9dpo and had a massive dizzy spell hit me at work today out of the blue, felt like I was drunk, everything was spinning and like I was going to throw up. I had it again this afternoon. I also had two day of feeling slightly dizzy and nauseous yesterday and day before.

From a few things I've read this could be implantation..?? I find I hard to get my head around how something so small can have such a huge affect.

Could you please share if you had this or something similar and if you got a bfp or bfn. Thanks

I have been experiencing this for the last few days & AF is now a week late I did a pregnancy test it was negative, thinking it could just be from the heat.

    Hi Kylez,

Probably not what you want to hear, but I had this last month and ended up quite unwell. Really dizzy and nauseated with some spotting. 3 bfn later and my period came 5 days late.

@Mif1 thank you for your input. Unfortunately AF did arrive for me today. I have no idea what my body was doing last week

    It's hard isn't it

I was really hopefuly that late meant pregnant. The wait after the 2ww is even harder than the 2ww itself.

It's almost cruel. I felt a bit down for a few days (especially down after another friend unexpectedly announced this week).

    How are you feeling?

@Mif1 yes it is hard. I felt / kind of still feel slightly devastated. We are doing IUI as we can't conceive naturally. I know that odds still are t really in our favour with IUI but it was a better chance than we had. How long have you been trying?

I really feel for you.. it's nice having someone that can relate though. We have been trying 6 months, which doesn't sound long but I'm 35 with a giant fibroid and a history of endometriosis. We move on to IVF next month so this month is our last month trying naturally.

Ill you try IUI again? When is your next try?

I'm feeling hopeful for next month now, ovulation is tomorrow or the next day we think (we did bloods this month).

Maybe once af finished you might feel some hope again? How long have you been trying for?

Hi @Mif1 yes this site is great to connect with people going through the same thing as yourself. It's hard when it feels like everyone around you is getting pregnant easily and you are struggling. That's very lucky you guys discovered your issues so quickly and got into a fertility specialist right away. Have you tried IUI or are you moving straight into ivf? Will this be your first baby?

I'm 33 and my partner is 39. We have been trying since April last year. In September we went to our gp to ask for test and were told to wait 12 months, but we insisted on the tests and found out we have low sperm count, 5mil. This cycle was our first IUI. Our next steps are a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy for me wed next week and then we were going to do another round of IUI in March and May and then ivf in July. We live regional so only have access to an ivf clinic 3 times a year where we live, hence waiting till July. I'm feeling better about things again now. Just needed a moment to digest the situation. You put so much hope and investment into it, it's always going to be hard when AF shows up.

Good luck for this month, oh it would be so great if it could happen naturally for you!!!

Yeah exactly. I don't begrudge my friends at all, I'm happy for them! But it just seems so easy for them. A lot of the time they aren't even actively trying, they just say they were thinking about it so they went off contraceptives. And I think, why is it not happening for me when we have been actively trying and trying hard. I didn't know how common it was before I found this site. Just think of all the money we could have saved on contraceptives had we known it would be this difficult to fall pregnant!

Good on you for persisting with the GP and getting your tests done. My GP was the opposite, had been hassling me for years about my age and as soon as I said we were even considering it she sent me off for tests and within 3 months had referred me to a FS and hassled me to go. It was the other end of the scale to your experience, and while she was right, it actually made me feel a bit rubbish 'why haven't you been yet, you'll never fall pregnant naturally, you're running out of time!'. I already felt a bit rubbish to start with because I knew I had the endo, and my gyne told me 16 years ago I'd probably have fertility issues.

Our FS wants to move straight on to IVF because I have a really low AMH score (equal to the lower normal end of the scale for a 42 year old). He said 'we had better do IVF while it still may work). It makes me feel a bit desperate and even more devastated when af arrives. Will we ever manage to even have one baby?

It must be really difficult not having access to fertility services or IVF regularly. What will the laparoscopy/hysteroscopy going to assist with for you? Do you have endo aswell? It must be so hard for you to wait so long for access to services aswell, even more reason to be upset about af this month.

I'm so terrified of IVF and even more terrified of going through IVF and then being unsuccessful I'm going to try everything this month.

I'm glad you're feeling better now, and hopeful for your next try. Would you ever consider a donor sperm at all? I know it's early days and you haven't exhausted your other options yet. Also I think IVF is quite successful for your age so I am sure you'll be successful with that, but let's hope that you don't need IVF and the next IUI works
