Ooh my ladies! I'm jumping in as well if I may?

I'm neck deep in planners as I adapt to the format of my new school. I'm back in grade 6 (yay!) so feeling totally at home in terms of what/how I'll be teaching, just the whole learning the ropes thing all over again as I'm going from a 1000+ school to a bit over 100, so things are run pretty differently.

My room currently has nothing but dust and dead spiders decorating it! Thankfully I found my anchor charts and displays from 2 years ago in a big tidy up, so currently no laminating planned! I like to make lots of the room displays with the kids so my rooms usually start pretty bare. (I keep telling myself that to calm my nerves!)

Next week I'll be working I out all my team building activities - can't wait as I love doing that stuff... Spaghetti and marshmallows here we come!

A question for those of you in upper primary, what reading assessment do you use? I was using PROBE (PM for very low sts) alongside data from On Demand testing. All I've been given at my new school is a PM kit, which from my experience is next to useless for grade 6, plus can see PAT and on demand data. I don't rate data as highly as sitting and doing 1-1 testing though, so wondering if I need to push for a Probe kit or something else.

🏻 I'm doing 1 day in a kindy class and 1 day in a preprimary class this year. So I don't have to worry about setting up the classrooms.

I'm looking at a new program to create digital portfolios and a blog that you can share with parents? It's called seesaw, has anyone else used it?
