    Default Teacher Chat

I try to stay out of politics as much as possible... it was hard last year because my level leader was also my lovely sil, and she (without meaning to) pulled me into a fair share of it. Being my first year at the school, I wanted to keep under the radar a bit- no such luck. And hence, now I find myself as level leader and right in the thick of it all.

Oh god, staff politics... I know every work place has them but somehow it seems more prevalent in public schools. That's awful it's already started for you harvs, fingers crossed everyone will get over it quickly when school goes back.
I haven't paid for any of the fonts I download. Teacherspayteachers website has millions of free fonts, I love that resource. Speaking of resources, is anyone a subscriber to any websites? Ive got a twinkl subscription, which is great. I used to have one to teachstarter- just the free one though. Wasn't sure if it was worth getting a subscription to them though?

I LOVE teachers pay teachers, and I do not mind paying for things off there because they save me so much time!

I have free teachstarter but don't really use it. I can see how good the paid subscription would be, though.

I can't access twinkl at school.

I also have study ladder, which is brilliant. I use a lot of their blend family worksheets in my spelling grids for my lower groups, and this year I have finally bothered to look up if you can access it on iPad and it turns out you can, so the kids will be assigned tasks from there to complete as well- but last year I used it for print resources alone and it was brilliant.

If your school pays for mathletics then the worksheets/ booklets on there are awesome, too.

I'm no longer a teacher, but work as a school counsellor in public schools. I miss decorating my primary and special ed classrooms! But I do love making my office look welcoming for kids. I won't be back until the middle of the year, so who knows what my office will look like!

And gosh, don't we all love staff politics!!

Teachers pay teachers is still a brilliant resource for me. And I still miss my January shop at Dominie when I lived near Sydney. That place was dangerous!

Yeah, I'm a big TpT fan, and teachstarter also. I use scootle and TES/TESUK a lot too. Imagine trying to be a teacher before the internet!!
