Just finished at the fs for the first time today! I've got a really good lining at about 9mm I think and one side has a 24mm and the other a 25mm follicle ready to release today (no injection will trigger it)!

So DP is just ummm producing the sample and I'll take it straight down to be washed and back for the IUI as soon as it's done!

Oh @shmish I'm so sad to hear that good luck today and look after yourself ❤️

Oh @shmish I'm so so sorry I'm tearing up here in compassion for you. Sending you MASSIVE hugs your way ❤️ where to now for you guys? Will ivf help?
@Mad89 that's good news, fingers crossed it works this time round for you guys!

My appointment was good and so so. I have a 23mm follicle on left side, bigger by 4mm than last time but nothing happening on the left side. That's not surprising because I wasn't taking anything to have both sides produce. I had my trigger shot of ovidrel and we are back at the clinic tomorrow afternoon for our iui.

So after we had gone through all that I asked about doing a sperm count again for dp and fs said yes we can organize that and then went on to say we should really be considering ivf as because of the count we would be still unlikely to conceive through iui. I said yes we will do ivf when the clinic is up here in July, and then he hits me with, oh they no longer come here anymore..... so cutting a long story short we now have to drive 5 hours to Sydney to do ivf and if this round of iui doesn't work he suggests we don't wait and we start the process. I can do all the stimulants up here but will need to go to Sydney for the egg pick up and insertion. Feeling a little overwhelmed now but it is what it is.

So I think our plan will be if this round is not successful then we will start the process for probably April/may/ June. Need to confirm dates with dp but we have too much going on in March and start of April to even consider doing it then.

Sounds exactly like us!! We live in quite a big town with a reasonably new hospital but still don't have ivf out here and soon don't have a specialist either! So the 7 hour drive it is hoping that we can do most of things out here but same as you the collection and insertion back in Perth!!

After our last one with the almost no sperm in the sample I think this cycle is the same as you, just going through the motions and maybe a miracle but really just moving through options!

    Big hugs

Yep and it was a lot less stressful for both of us! More painful/uncomfortable too! But he had me lay there for about 10 mins after and I went home and rested too still don't hold a huge amount of hope for success but at least I know I won't be stressing!! We have this one and possibly one more left before ivf!! So if this doesn't work we will organise referrals etc for a specialist in Perth whilst doing our final IUI cycle!

@Mad89 thanks that's good you can get one more in before he retires. I think we will do another round too. We had always said we would try 3 rounds of iui before ivf so no doubt we will stick to the plan. That will put us in May / June for the ivf I think as our fs is away next time I ovulate and we are in Melbourne then too. I know what you mean about feeling like there isn't much hope from this but hopefully not having too much pressure on us will work in our favour and we could get lucky. Our fs also suggested freezing some of dp sperm before it gets too bad too. Could be something for you guys to consider too maybe if you can't afford to do ivf right away?

So you will all get a giggle out of this... at the fs today and there is no facility to do a sample, yay for country living, and we live an hour away so can't do it at home and take it in. So the clinic says we can use the "family room" i.e. Disabled toilet... anywho we are in the toilet dp is trying to do his thing, and some woman knocks on the door and then uses a key to get in! We were like whhhhhoooow back up honey. Talk about mood killer! Then a whole bunch of people walk past and there is lots of noise and then another person try's to get in!!! I seriously nearly started crying! I don't want us to have to keep going through this it's horrible. And next time someone who has been trying for a couple of months says how hard it is I'll find it very hard to bite my tongue... anyway it all done and iui complete. We have decided we are going to do ivf end of May start of June as that will give us a march baby which is a star sign we both love. But hopefully this iui works and we will be happy anyway. Oh and fs said we should have a 70% chance with ivf due to our type of fertility issues, so pretty happy with those odds.

How's everyone else? @shmish you ok???

Hahahahaha oh dear the first time we went to get DP tested the doctor said he could just do it in the car if he was more comfortable preeeeeetty sure it's illegal to be doing that in public!

I'm not sure what our chances are! I'd really like to know though!! I think our first appt will be in April at this stage!! Towards the end going off school holidays and when we get back!!

March is the best month I must say

I've got some bad stab like pains in my right pelvis right now which is odd! Unless my left released and now my right is or something weird like that!
