Default Maccas: using free wifi and playground

To clarify, I have no itch to scratch. I just think it's nice to stick up for people sometimes, I know I've really appreciated it the few times it's been done for me.

I think ideally one should purchase something if using a service stations toilet (petrol, chocolate, water etc). However not a biggie.

    To clarify I think:
    - not purchasing anything and using free playground/wifi (which wasn't the case in the situation I witnessed) is not cool and is tightarse.
    - purchasing a happy meal and using wifi/playground - totally OK.
    - bringing along your own coffee in a thermos to a place that has a cafe which sells coffee - bad form and tightarse regardless of what else was purchased.
So do these need to be charged with being a thief then?

Stealing internet. Stealing playground space. Stealing toilet paper/water.

I would think using the bathroom costs more for the business then the wifi

I think charging would be just a little over the top.... I would settle for the individuals not opposing the label of tightarse. And of course I would do a little internal happy jig if a business asked a freeloader to put away their thermos or coffee/move on.

You fob it off when people question you that it's just a fluff thread and everyone should know that (because you know, intent is so easy to understand through text).

To me though, it's another example of people being judged and mocked for innocent things they do in public. It's the culture of constantly sticking our noses in and thinking that anything that happens in public is fair game that frustrates me.

But hey, let's make snap shot judgements on a persons character. Who cares what the follow on effect is if it's all in the spirt of making a forum 'interesting again'...

Using the playground and wifi without buying anything is pretty stingy and poor taste but meh there are worse things in the world. Using the toilet is ok, I mean if you have to go you have to go. It's not like a planned activity. If a place has a sign up saying you can only use the bathroom with purchase I just buy a bottle of water or some gum or something.

A few years ago I drove from Ballina to Sydney with two children in the car.
DH had to take the the other car so I did it alone.

As you can imagine with two children, one being breastfed at the time, I had to make numerous stops.
Maccas and Hungry Jacks were the safest spots imo.
I think we ate there once.

Maybe Nana had her daughter out at a broken down car waiting for help?
Maybe they'd just eaten before the car broke down?
Maybe she was using her own data to contact family and let them know they were safe and would be back on the road soon?
Or maybe she does this every Sunday morning while mammy and daddy have throbbing heads from a night out on the tiles?
Maybe nana was posting on Nanahub about some weird lady eyeballing her every move?
    Lots of reasons.
    Its' maccas.
They'll do anything to keep a customer these days so no biggy.

    .
    Lol!!! 😂😂

Or maybe nana looks after the kids every weekend while mum & dad have couple time (a la Finchy) and she spends all weekend abusing free wifi at maccas while feeding the kids rubbish food and letting them use the bathrooms without shoes on 😜
