Sure. In that I'd be a little ashamed that a foreign nation had to step in to show Australians that everyone is included regardless of their religion. We really should be doing that ourselves (which we did - go us!!)

    Interesting.

Well it just backs up my original opinion that it was political and intended to provoke a response.

That's such a broad question. Let me preface by saying I highly doubt Australia will ever become a predominantly Muslim country, and let me state clearly that I would not even want Australia to become a predominantly Muslim country. I love the diversity of this country, in my opinion that's what makes it great.

Regarding you question what do you mean specifically, do you mean a country like Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan where Wahhabism (Extremism) is practiced and people live under what is essentially a radical Islamic dictatorship? Do you mean something like Indonesia or Malaysia where there is democracy and although the country is mainly Muslim people from other religions are free to practice their own religion and live in peace?

In any case I suppose if there was a larger Muslim population in Australia I would experience what it's like to belong to the 'majority' as opposed to being a monitory, and all the privileges that come with that, I.e. Inherent acceptance, easier access or entrance to structures of power.

But that's not what I want for this country. What I really want is a society where everyone is equal and inherently accepted regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation etc.

It annoys me to no end that Australia is a predominantly Christian country but thankfully we can still practice any or no religion at all so as much as it's annoying that we have to have public holidays on Christian holiday days at least I'm not forced to celebrate them , which would be the same if we were predominantly any religion

Seriously? Even after you've been told that it was one photo in a series of photos you still believe that single image, of two little girls celebrating Australia Day 2016 is a political statement. What were the other images? An elaborate camouflage?

What do you think would change?

I live in an area that has a significant Muslim population. Guess what? Nothing has changed. The local public school where my children attend has an Easter Hat Parade and Christmas Concert every year. That's right. Muslim parents/children making Easter hats and singing Christmas carols... And ham sandwiches at the canteen!

I think this will never happen and if it did, it wouldn't matter

Question is what would change for you?

Phony, some of your ideas are just baffling to me.

All part of the conspiracy? What are 'they' (whoever 'they' are) supposed to getting out of all this?

See it does the opposite for me. It makes me think that in other countries in the world, the potential for outcry wouldn't even be an issue on their radar.

And the most cynical I get is thinking that RACV are seeking to appeal to a specific target market by incorporating a specific range of images. But hey, that's advertising.
