I've just toilet trained 2 yo ds over the Christmas break. He was sitting until childcare this week and now he wants to stand, I assume they've shown him or he's seen other kids at cc doing it. He now switches between sitting and standing. When standing DH has shown him to lean forward on the cistern so it doesn't go everywhere - seems to work!

We taught 3.5yo DS to sit when he started TT at 2.5yo, then stand to go outside a few months later. His aim is terrible! He goes to daycare so sees both. He did try indoor standing wee, or so I assume by the state of the wall.

We have a Little Looster step for him to use when he wants to change to standing always.

DS is 3.5 he mostly sits which is great for not having mess to clean up but if he pee's outside which happens quite a bit he stands up.

DS2 is 4. In the beginning he sat but has been standing for last few months. I've taught him how to hold his penis properly so he mostly aims well

We started off sitting until I realized he's actually able to be more independent if he stands and with sitting he was always peeing on his pants. He stands and holds it now, I help sometimes. He's 3 next month.
