    @MUG81 congrats!

    I tested again again this morning with SMU (I forgot to test with FMU when I woke up early to pee). This is from about a 5 hour hold but I'd also had a fair bit of water to help my sore throats and cough so urine was pretty diluted.

    Its still super faint in the photo. Its a lot clearer in person. I'm not testing again until my cold has gone, and we are going away this afternoon for a long weekend so that will keep my mind off POAS.

    Your test looks great. I think I made it up and imagined my line. Nothing this morning. I have had a few niggles but I don't I know

    Hi ladies, congrats to those who got bfps so far in Feb, I hope you are all doing well Just wondering if in the name of science (and helping a sister out) if you got a bfp in Feb (will try tag you all - if I miss someone can you please tag them) if you could comment on how long you had been trying to conceive, if you had and fertility issues and or help. I think it's interesting for us to know these things.
    @wheelsy maybe as you update the bfp's you could add in ttc and number of months and maybe just a code like fs - y for fertility specialist yes or something?

    Thank you!

    @kylez83 More than happy to share my experience & journey.
    We started TTC in Jan2016. My cycles are on average 35/36 days. We had a few cycles off due to to illness, issues, etc, so not quite 12 cycles of TTC.
    As soon as I hit 35 mid year, we went off to see a FS. She ordered all the tests. DF came back clear and with strong and plentiful swimmers. I was told to lose some weight (sent off to a dietician; am now 7kg lighter), was diagnosed with PCOS. The dietician was really great with helping to lose weight based on the PCOS problem. Our FS was confident I was ovulating though, and multiple strategically timed blood tests confirmed that I was, so that made a big difference. The only outstanding thing that I was supposed to do in coming months was a diagnostic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to flush out any endo that might be around and to investigate a teeny tiny blip on the ultrasound.
    Our FS said we should be able to get pregnant naturally, but was encouraging that if we wanted to speed up the process IVF could be started in March/April. She wanted us to do 12 full cycles of trying first. That's what we were thinking would be the plan. Then we went to Europe last month & de-stressed and bonked a lot... and bam!

    Seeing a FS was really full on, but all the tests let us know where we stand and what our options were/ are. Then we got lucky.

    ... Hope that helps?!

    Thanks for sharing @MUG81

    I guess what I'm trying to achieve out of this data is that everyone on these threads can see that not everyone is the same, that sometimes it takes a year, that sometimes it's not straight forward. In the Jan thread there was 39 people in it down for testing, only 5 got bfp's. I'm not trying to be negative, I'm trying to be a realist. I've also been trying nearly 12 months and I came into this thinking we will get pregnant first time. I've seen it with many others on bub hub too. There is so much disappointment so I thought maybe the stats we collect could help people understand the "journey" better. Does this make sense?

    I think we are so hard on ourselves but if we knew we weren't alone in terms of timeframe and fertility issues etc it might make it easier and less daunting?

    Ps did you end up doing the laparoscopy?

    It's not only different for different people but it can be different each time a couple are TTC.

    Hubby and I for example;
    Baby #1 - 21 cycles
    Baby #2 - 1 cycle
    Baby #3 - 1 cycle
    Baby #4 - on our 5th cycle now
