Normally 5th Jan but I just want them gone this year. Sick of the 3yo stripping the tree and hiding the decorations under her pillow.

I try to before new years day. I don't like leaving it up too long as it takes up a lot of space in our small house.

Usually the 26tth or 27th Dec. They came down today (27th) because to me once Christmas day has passed then that's that, time to get rid of the clutter. Makes me feel so much better when order is restored and the decorations are packed away again. I love christmas but I'm very happy when it's over too!

Mine came down today, I love the feeling of a clean/tidy house again. Normally do them Boxing Day but couldn't find the energy to do them yesterday.

    Default Taking decorations down

I meant to do it today but had a nap instead. They will be coming down tomorrow

ETA: I usually go back to work 2nd or 3rd of Jan so like to get it done before the new year.

Some time mid January, that always meant it was time to start getting ready to go back to school.

Everything was down at 11pm Christmas Day!!! When it's over, it's over. Didn't need a long running reminder on what a disappointing Xmas it was

    Default Taking decorations down

Sometime the first week of Jan, I still associate NYE with Christmas/holiday season so feel it shouldn't come down until after then. If we were having a NYE party I would definitely ensure the tree and lights were still up. But maybe that's a northern hemisphere thing?

ETA: since its dark early and cold it's nice have the lights and trees up in windows brightening the mood.
