    Default Camping

So we just got a vehicle that we can go off road on. Everyone has said we should go camping.
I'm not sure if I'm a camper ( even glamping).
Is it one of those things you know you'll enjoy before trying?
For the record we normally stay minimum 4 star ( resorts/hotels/ appartments) and 3 stars is roughing it for me.

I've been camping since I was a baby, so not really the person to ask...my fondest childhood memories are from fun camping trips with family and friends...we also travelled overseas a few times but every school holidays we went camping either at a caravan park or proper camping.

If 3 stars is roughing it then I don't think you will enjoy camping where toilets and showers are shared amenities and usually a walk from your campsite.

Camping is awesome. Well, we glamp...but gosh we love it. So much more fun that staying in a hotel.
I only ever camped with my dad as a kid...full on roughing it camping. Family holidays we stayed in hotels. As an adult I really love glamping. Our kids have the best fun. They make new friends on every holiday.

You won't know unless you try. Go on a short trip (2-3 days) and see what you think. I don't like starting at run-down motels etc (prefer the 4-5 stars) but I love camping.

Hubby and I went camping for our honeymoon!

You just have to wrap your head around the fact that there will be no hair-dryers, and depending on how remote you go, potentially no showers or toilets either.

We camped out near the beach. A week of no phones and no tv and not needing to do anything. It was amazing

You need to go with friends who camp often and have all the gear. Otherwise, it's too hard.
