    Default Am I a grinch?

So for about 3-4years now. People come to our street tonight was 11pm previous Christmas eves have been at 2am. They gather in front of a house and they sing Christmas carols in a different language. I've just gone out there to tell them to be quiet but lost the nerve. There is about 30-40 people in front of my neighbours house with guitars and they just sing and sing for about an hour.
It is so annoying, I can't sleep through it and also makes my dog bark like crazy so that has woken up my 9 month old who I had only just put back to sleep so she's inconsolable at the moment. Would this annoy you or would you be fine with it? As it's Christmas after all?

2am????? No, I'd be p*ssed. Christmas carols are lovely but if they are loud and keeping people awake they need to be wrapped up by 10pm. Especially seeing as though it's hard enough to get the kids to sleep anyway. We have a HUGE xmas day. Starts at 6am when the kids wake up and goes through to 10-11pm as we visit 3 families. We all need our beauty sleep to survive the day. If singing was keeping me awake at 2am I'd be furious. But I'm pretty sure people would call me a grinch haha cause I'm often a grump.

I'd go crazy at them! 2am is a joke! I'd call the police to be honest.

I'm guessing there were there after midnight mass. We do that too at home. Tho mum invites the neighbours along for the post church party.

I don't mind a party if it's done in their own home but in the front yard singing so so loud
I'm such a light sleeper and so are my kids so it's quite annoying!!

It usually starts at home. One year tho it spilled into the yard and then the street.

But then my kids were up till 3am this morning and back awake at 7. It's completely normal to have erratic sleep over the festive season for us.

That's why I'm the grinch haha I literally got 2 hours sleep. I finished wrapping presents at 10:30. My 9'omth old woke at 11. Got her back to sleep then they started at 11:30 dog went crazy woke her up again and she was wide awake till 2:30 when I finally managed to get her back to sleep then my other kids woke at 5!
