    @Bond Girl DD hasn't asked for it either... it's just taken 15 mins for her to go to sleep for her nap

    DS was 3.5 when we got rid of his to dummy fairy. He then went to sleep with the toy bike he got (plus his comfort teddy he's always had). He only asks for it when he's over tired or emotional and those nights I have to lie with him while he goes to sleep. Was 2 months ago we gave it up

    sorry no help but following for any tips - we tried minky mary the dummy fairy but failed after the sobbing and crying - will need to try again - dd was 2 in Sept

    Will be a challenge for us in the near future. DS only uses it for sleep but recently he has been asking during the day. It seems like he is more aware of it now. Taking it away straight will upset him when he just gets up. Only Distraction works. Sorry No idea how long it will take. I am waiting the time DS can understand a big boy can't have it or some stories to throw the dummy away. Not helping much when some kids have it at daycare so he wants it.
