I took a photo of my FRER this morning (5dp5dt). Am I going crazy or is it an indentation line? I can see it on both sides of the strip. I guess I'll test again tomorrow and see what happens. I've never had an indentation or evap line, so I don't know what they are supposed to look like. I've only ever had stark white. It looks darker in real life, doesn't show up well on photos. It's better than nothing I suppose, I just don't want to get my hopes up.

    Default Confused

Sorry if this isn't the place to ask, but I'm really confused.

It's my first round of IVF (due to DH low sperm count), and I just had my first scan today at CD 9, after 6 days on gonal f and my second day on orgalutran. I've been feeling really bloated and crampy since I started all the medication but my FS thinks this is normal. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but he said today my next scan will be Friday (CD 13) and likely EPU either next Monday or Tuesday (CD 16 or 17). I usually ovulate normally CD 13 or 14 so am a bit worried about EPU being later, there's been no change to the dosages but I was really hoping to stop the orgalutran injections soon.

The FS was happy with the scan this morning and said everything looked good, but depending on how Friday's scan goes, he may change my trigger shot from Ovidrel to something else. I then had a call from the clinic saying if the trigger shot is changed then it's likely that this round will be cancelled after EPU and a FET will happen next month. Is this normal?? Sorry if this is a silly question but I'm really new at this.

@Sabrina 1717 - Im sorry, hope you are okay
@hopeful 2017 - I wouldn't worry about what day you normally ovulate in a natural cycle. The Orgalutran will stop you from ovulating early, and the trigger makes you ovulate. Did they mention how many follicles/how big they were?

Hi @hopeful2017 If you're on orgalutran then that will stop you from ovulating, so don't worry if your EPU is later than when you normally ovulate.

On our last cycle, our FS pushed the EPU out longer than normal to help with maturity of eggs and it worked really well. He said that there is a chance that you may ovulate even though you are on orgalutran, so we requested a scan prior to EPU to ensure that everything was still there. It was.

The reason they may only do EPU and then cancel the transfer is if you're at risk of OHSS. Some women will get symptoms that you have if they are slightly over stimulated. If you are, then doing a transfer would be a waste, so it is best to wait until the next month.

    I hope that helps.
