    Default Aleppo

Is anyone else watching all this unfold with complete horror? Those poor little children. Their poor parents!

Yes isn't it awful. I travelled throughout Syria including Aleppo as a teenager, it's horrible to see what has happened. So many lives taken including all those poor children and so many precious historical monuments destroyed (I travelled there studying archaeology so I hate to see these things taken from the world).

Yes the civilians are being slaughtered and it seems the cease fire agreement fell apart yesterday. I was relieved to see the buses were going to get some people out that are injured etc but it didn't happen. Just devastating and five years of it. How are people alive in the city with no water or food. It is beyond my comprehension

What was the city like? From the pictures it looked so thriving.

I'm so angry . What is wrong with these idiots in power . They don't care . We all care deeply and as mothers when we see the eyes of those little children , it hurts so much . It's against all our instincts to not protect , to help and to soothe . And we can do nothing . I'm so ashamed to be called a human . Just stop it , why can't they just agree to stop and let those people out.

    I don't know what to do .

Having just come from Beirut, Syria as a whole seemed so much 'safer' (Jordan even more so), buildings were in much better condition. We spent most of our time in Palmyra which was absolutely beautiful.

I feel the same as babynomad, it's just so horrifying to watch and to think it's been like this for 5 years. How can people live like this.. my heart breaks for them. And yet when they manage to escape this horror no one wants the refugees in their country. What a disgrace the human race has become.

I'm also so angry that these governments are more concerned with playing politics than peoples lives. I don't really care whose 'right' and 'wrong' at this point, they've all got blood on their hands.
