Default What food should I take to a neighbourhood Xmas party?

We have a neighbourhood street party this week and the invitation says "BYO nibbles and drinks". I have to work until 30 minutes prior to the party so I need some ideas for quick simple "nibbles" to take.

I was thinking fairy bread for the kids and maybe cheese platter for adults.

    Any other fantastic ideas?

Bruschetta- make the tomato mix that morning and just toast the bread lightly before going to the party and assemble there

Guacamole and corn chips ( takes 5 mins to make)

Prawn and mango salsa and corn chips (takes 15 mins to chop and make)

Xmas Jelly cups for the kids ( red and green layered jelly ) and you can make the night before

Strawberry and marshmallows kebabs with white choc and passionfruit dip ( make the dip night before)

Smoked salmon, horseradish cream and caramelised onion mini toasts ( make the onions the night before and just assemble before leaving!)

I'd probably do something like mini spinach and tomato quiches the night before. Or a cold meat platter (buy everything day before and assemble that night). Fruit salad or fruit kebabs would be nice too with mango, kiwi and strawberry.

You are all better, more functional adults than me.

    I'd say wine.
Packet of chips. Maybe some jatz and shop bought dip. Double Brie cheese and water crackers.

Horse carrot for child. (Not joking - we have horses, child loves them, I don't argue!)

All purchased from Coles on way to party :P All served in classy plastic packaging/box because I'd forget to grab plates/knife on the way past.

Something quick and easy is honey soy chicken wings from the supermarket deli. Cook them as soon as you get home in the microwave because you're pressed for time.

Corn relish dip - instructions are on the bottle of corn relish, from memory its simply corn relish and sour cream. Always a winner when I've brought it.
