No due to looking up a holiday place for the step kids once and fully blown porn coming right up in our faces. Also caught my 6 year old stepkid looking at gruesome shark attacks on you tube. if you don't mind them seeing adult stuff like the truth about Santa Claus etc etc. then go ahead. Filters don't work

My kids ones don't have access to the internet. I got rid of all the wifi connections once I downloaded apps. So they can't google or YouTube anything.

Entertained.. I'm not looking for validation or trying to justify the decision.. I just realise that the iPad definitely has a good use in certain circumstances. I don't think I'll let them use it unless it's for travel. Wouldn't want them sitting on it at home, not yet anyway.
They are great for travel. If you're travelling in the car make sure to buy a car charger too!

I understand the concern about kids turning into tech-zombies but no all kids with iPads do, and if they are to become that way the iPads can easily be removed.

I was surprised. Our kids got theirs yesterday and we had a 10 hour drive so let them take them. They played them for a while and then put them away to do colouring in or play with their new walker talkies and stuff.

Yes. When his mom were busy, my son plays with his iPad. he loves it so much. Once he deleted staff on the device, it can easily extract files from existing backup.s
