    Default FET whats involved..?

Hi Ladies, I've previously gone thru IVF a few yrs ago and I'm ready for bany number 2.
I have an appointment with my GP in Feb (valentines day actually 💕) and my period would start the week following my appointment. Can anyone one tell me how FET starts off and what is involved? Thanks In Advance.

I just did a FET (transfer was today). I saw my FS when I was on my period. He had me start bloods and scans a few days later. Once I ovulated they booked in my FET for 5 days latrer and had me start on progesterone. My FET was all natural as I ovulate and the reason we do IVF is male infertility so maybe different for you. Good luck!!

The thawing isnt that long. I had a blood test on Sat before they thawed it. So it is less than 2 days.

Thawing is quick - they will thaw an embryo the same day as transfer.
If that embryo doesn't survive the thaw, they're able to thaw another (where available) straight away

@7liha I think there are 3 types of FET. Natural, medicated (low dose stim) & HRT. If you are transferring a blastie you will usually transfer ~CD20. Depends on ovulation/ lining etc. I have done 5 FET's. I found them all a lot easier & less invasive than a fresh cycle. FET's still involve BT's & scans but not as many as a fresh cycle. I am currently 28wks pregnant from a HRT FET cycle. Wishing you all the best!!
