Default Miscarriage: what to expect on the ultrasound?

I had a scan last Monday after some bleeding and it showed I was 6.5weeks, but bub had a very low heart rate. Since then the bleeding has increased, and pregnancy symptoms have gone. No major cramping, and the bleeding has mostly been when I'm on the toilet, only a small amount at other times (less than a pad per day). The bleeding has been a considerable amount when I'm in this position.

I have another scan tomorrow and am trying to prepare myself for what I might see. I don't think it will be a complete miscarriage, and I think it will be incomplete to some extent. Any advice on what I might expect, or what questions to ask?

Default Miscarriage: what to expect on the ultrasound?

I had brown spotting that started around 5w. I had a scan at 6+4 and bub had a heart rate of 138. I continued to spot and it got a little heavier. I had another ultrasound at 7+4. On that one, I saw bub, the same size as the gestational sac, but no heartbeat. I had a D&C the next day.

Good luck Hun. I hope you get a better outcome than what I had x

I'm so sorry to hear, OP. I had a scan with a suspected MC after I had been bleeding for about 3-4 days. I was around 7 weeks. I saw a gestational sac but no baby or heartbeat - I think the sonographer said what she saw could be normal for a 4 week pregnancy (she suggested I could possibly have my dates wrong, but I knew it was a MC.) Take care of yourself xx
