Thank you for all of the great ideas. I have bought her a country road beach bag and I have ordered a photo of the kids that I will have framed too.
I like the selfie stick idea. Anyone know where to get a good one? How much should I pay for a decent self stick?

I'm thinking of getting my MIL a good drink bottle as she is a postie and drinks lots when she works plus some socks (sounds lame) but she doesn't spend that sort $ on herself.

MIL will get Elizabeth Arden perfume (its a set of 4 so hopefully she likes one).
We were getting her a handbag too but she has over 40 already.

1 year Netflix subscription + a Chromecast (combined Christmas and birthday present as they're a couple of weeks apart).
