Shocked so many criticisms without knowing the state of the garden. Little spindle weeds I'm talking about not over run big ones.

And two people with good suggestions. Will advertise on gum tree.

As a renter you move in thinking it will be right but you realise you've bitten off more than you can chew. We are trying to rectify it and then find a place with a smaller lawn and no garden! It's proving hard to find!

Airtasker is a new app that might be worth looking into. You post jobs/tasks on there and people offer a price they'd do it for.

I agree as an investment property owner myself that a leasee should take into account their personal capacity to maintain a property before applying to rent it. It wouldn't be unreasonable for a landlord to expect a tenant to maintain the gardens of a property to the standard they moved into. I would just be more aware of this for the next time you move.

Is air tasker in rural far western nsw???

We were both able to weed at commencement of lease. Hubby now can't due to having a new hernia. It's not something he had when we moved here.

Paying $13k for the chance of having a baby. I'm not stuffing that up. By over heating. I can't just go to bed and get preg.

We advised the real estate that we are looking for something small due to medical reasons. He won't believe my hubby has a hernia. He rolled his eyes.

I really was looking for advice on how to get the darn stuff out.

Actually Serviceseeking.com.au will find you someone. Check it out! You put a job in for quotes and people offer a price they'd do it for, much like the website linlin suggested by the sounds of it.

I know you have already said you used weed killer. Can you try weed and feed, so it won't hurt the normal plants that are there, but will kill off the weeds. They should keel over in about a week. Tell the agency this is what you have done, and he is welcome to re-inspect in 2 weeks. Given that you tried to call a gardener, this is the best you can do in the interim, due to other life commitments ? Come to a compromise.

I don't know a lot about real estate in NSW but don't they have to give you more than 4 days to fix something up? Isn't it 7-14? If I'm right, I would let them know in writing that you won't be able to fix the minor weeding up as yet, you are trying to hire the services of someone with no luck. Can they either recommend a person or will have to wait until you have found someone, medical reasons prevent you from doing it yourself. Then I would advertise on gumtree for someone to come and do it all for you. (I'm absolutely no help on the weeding front, our whole front of our house is gardens and it's horrible the upkeep of that cr4p)..

The weeds near the wall are indicative of what we have.

Those weeds are stuck in the cement! My only solution is to cut them as close to the cement as I can!

The other photos indicate the same weeds but I can't see them all to get out. And it's hard ground! Even after rain.
