Default Please sign my petition to stop a local council demolishing my children's' kindergart

    Hi everyone,

There is a petition on change.org to stop my local council from demolishing a heritage listed building that houses my children's kindergarten.

My DD goes there this year and DS will be due to go in 2019, but they're proposing it to close at the end of 2018 to allow for a 5-8 storey apartment block on the site.

Needless to say current families, past families and future families are very upset at this proposition. It saddens me they could knock it down given what a wonderful place it is, I can't fault anything about the place or its staff. It's also about the local council knocking down a building they have heritage listed! There are many other sites it could go on and this just is not the place!

    https://www.change.org/p/unley-mayor...eritage-listed

Even if you know of anyone else who may want to sign this, please forward it on to them, it's really important this development does not go ahead.

Thank you to anyone who has read this far and is happy to sign the petition and / or forward it.

    Just signed it hun.

So wrong so very very wrong. Unley is certainly not a suburb for builders to build the future slums of Tomorrow in because that is all they will end up being. We are having issues in or council with 2 potential development sites aswell. One next to DS school where they want to build 14 3 storey towns houses and 2 shops to keep it on the "commercial" side of things and now there is another site that has just been sold off that the new owners want to do the same thing if it gets through council (Marion) which as all residents know will most likely put this through as a revenue cash grab

    Thank you!

It's a shame really isn't it? I'm all for development and population growth but only when it is well thought out and balanced.

It is a shame yes. There are places where multi level apartments belong and they don't belong

If you ever go out prospect Rd and or Churchill Rd way take a look at all the multi storey apt blocks being built. They are so ugly
