    Default Share your workout routine!

I'm really interested to hear everyone's workout routines. I'm really motivated to get going again after a slow couple of months with stress and illness. I need to mix things up a bit...I have workout DVDs, a treadmill, resistance band, I even have a gym membership I think I have TOO much choice haha, so when it comes to working out I spend more time trying to decide what to do than actually doing it!

What do you do, and why?

(Btw I'm 67kg looking to get to 60kg)

Did a thing with my trainer this morning which was really awesome. She called it 2-4-6-8-10.

Started out with 2 push ups, then a run of a set distance and back. Then 4 push ups, run and back. Then 6 and so on. Doesn't sound that hard, but Jesus it pushed me!! Did a couple of variations on it, one was squats then step ups. It was a good workout and a good way to do sets. The 10 nearly killed me!

I have tried every exercise under the sun and am finding 28 by Sam Wood brilliant. 28 minutes, 4 x 7 sets of exercises, great online community, and good food if you want it too although I don't cook the recipes, I just eat clean.

I have lost 7 kg in the last three months on it and look and feel so much better.

I either walk or bike ride daily.
Every second day I do 3 sets of 10 squats with 10 kg weights, tricep dips and 2 sets with my above shoulders or bicep curls with 10kg dumbbells, 10 situps.

I do push workout one night

    - locomotive warm ups (frog jumps and mini cartwheels)
    - 3 X rounds full body push ups
    - 3 X tuck holds on parralettes
    - 3 X rounds lady push ups
    - hollow body or planks

    One night of legs

So a squat circuit of 5 rounds

And sometimes I do a night of pull which is light weights (hand and bar), gymnastic ring rows.

Just started doing 30 mins light yoga on off nights

Updated to say I tried the Kayla Itsines 'BBG' workout yesterday (day 1, wk 1). I've always kind of steered clear of that sort of stuff but having the PDF in front of me (borrowed from a friend) was great and so convenient. I loved it! Did it while watching TV The exercises were tough & I'm sore today but I really enjoyed it.

Love the look of that one! I completed one full week of BBG and I feel great - sore but great.

I do 10 mins warm up on the bike and then do this routine
    100 x skipping rope
    90 x high knees
    80 x mountain climbers
    70 x star jumps
    60 x lunges (30 each leg)
50 x sit ups (or 25 sit ups, 25 bicycle legs)
    40 x squats
    30 x bicep curls
    20 x push ups
    10 x burpees

Once I get to the burpees I go right back to the push-ups, bicep curls, squats until I finish with the skipping. In between each rep I run to the end of the backyard and back (so about 30 metres in total). This workout really gets me sweating up a storm. In total it takes me about 40 mins (including warm up)
