Hi, I am hoping someone can help me. I am a poor responder and have just done a antagonist cycle with 450 gonal f and 250 cetrotide that resulted in one follicle and no eggs. I was told by this specialist I should look into an egg donor. I would really like to try at least once more so really need a FS that knows his stuff and not another one that wants to treat me like everyone else like they seem to do with me then wonder why I am not responding.
I line on the sunshine coast QLD but im willing to travel.
If you cant post I don't mind PM's

I don't know any in the state you're in but following in case anyone knows anyone in Sydney or other states.
Estrogen primed antagonist protocol is your best bet or the agonist/antagonist conversion protocol (AACEP), but you'll have to go and ask if they have experience with it... Following for myself too..

Warren De Ambrosis has the experience with both the issues/protocols Ladies!!!
He's in Brisbane though...works for QFG...Watkins Medical Centre....Spring Hill and has a hell of a long waiting list as he's that bloody popular (the best FS in QLD and in all likelihood Aust or at least in the top 3 in Aust)..I did the AACEP protocol myself with him on my last 2 Cycles (my first 3 Cycles were Long, down regulated with another FS).
Ask to go on to his cancellation list as you can often get in to see him a lot quicker (often with only a few days notice). Some of the Girls on the Warren De Ambrosis Appreciation Thread talk about his collegue Charlotte Mooring who works in close collaboration with him and who was mentored by him, but I know nothing of her as she wasn't there in my time though I do hear good things about her.
Her wait list is a lot shorter and she *may* be worth seeing (you could then ask to see Warren for a second opinion..just to get your foot in the door so to speak)..I don't know?? I'd ask the Girls over on Wazza's thread what they think of Charlotte and Wazza too for that matter if you want opinions on both
Best of luck to you both

I would see Warren or Charlotte at Qfg springhill. Your age will depend on a lot. At 30 you have a good chance of getting a good egg, at 36 I had no chance to get a good egg it seemed and now at 38 I guess my chance is even worse. I understand what you are going through. It's horrible to find out you have low amh and are on high dosages and get little to no eggs. Good luck x

I have been travelling back and forth to see Warren from Perth for the last 3 years. I got on the cancellation list and got an appointment in a week. His secretaries are lovely. Charlotte has done one of my scratches and seemed lovely 2 and often is his fill in when he is away. Waz has now been looking after me for my last 3 DE cycles in SA and wouldn't have anyone else doing it. He is fantastic and really knows his stuff!

I would see wazza but if he tells you the same are you willing to hear it? Donor eggs may be the way to go.
i converted to IUI with 3 follicles. And my next step if this doesn't work is donor eggs. So it will be donor sperm and eggs. But if we were to get pregnant from that it doesn't make it any less our child.
I support you trying.

Waz will give you his honest opinion.. But will also throw everything at it if you decide to proceed with another cycle. An overseas donor cycle can be organised within 3 months from choosing a donor to transfer.. So is pretty quick . Generally the largest amount of time is making the decision to abandon our dodgy ovaries.

Definitely one more shot on a different protocol.
I had multiple cancelled cycles, I am a poor responder with low AMH, I was advised by my FS and the head of the clinic who I saw for 2nd opinion that there was no hope but donor.
Changes clinics, new protocol - main changes were elonva, luveris and melatonin - had 8 eggs collected and have just had a transfer
Don't give up
