Default What's your favourite alcoholic drink?

I've been told the Kindy Teachers like alcohol as their end of year gifts, but I don't know what they like. I know drinks seems to have their trends and it seems Moscato, Rose, ciders seem to be in vogue at the moment, but I don't know.

Please share your favourite beverages, wine, spirits, champagne, I need ideas!

I think if it's for someone else you can't go wrong with Sav B, but personally I'm loving a Pinot Gris at the moment cause I'm a bit tired of savvy b. I personally dont ever drink Moscato, rose or cider so maybe I'm not very trendy.

I like apple cider, we normally drink Strongbow Classic or Sweet. But for a teacher I guess you'd pick a fancy one, if that's what you went with.

I also like red and white wine, and spirits, but spirits can be very expensive and wine is a very personal thing (some people don't like red wine, for example).

I love moscato, but that's because I like sweet wine in general. Wine is tricky because people's tastes vary. My go to if I'm unsure is something sparkling.

I like lots of types lol. I like lots of reds, most whites apart from chardonnay. I do not like sweet. I like dry rose.

I like dry cider and only some beer.

I think your best bet is getting white wine. It is summer - I drink more white in summer.

Either get a nice sparkling white or an SSB.

If you want to trend then a rose. Or a sparkling rose. Generally most rose's are quite easy to drink (like white wine). And easy to make a cocktail out of if you want (same with sparkling).

I would suggest a nice bottle of champagne (depending on your budget though). Most folks would appreciate it and it's a nice Xmas day drink to share.

I enjoy apple cider, but if someone gave me a sweet one I wouldn't end up drinking it. It's a bit hard to pick the right one if you don't know if the person likes sweet or dry drinks. I love dry drinks - can't stand sweet!

Thanks for your thoughts all, you all have good taste, and you're right, it's tricky when everyone's tastes vary so much lol!
@Ahalfdozen, I would probably be quite popular if I lashed out on vodka or whiskey I'd imagine!

Can I be a pain and ask for your favourite brands/names of favourite wines, reds, whites and champagnes please.

I don't drink a heap of wine but it's always a nice gift to receive at this time of year as it's good to have something to share (I wouldn't share my single malt scotch ). Something easy drinking and good with summer foods like a Shiraz (Pepperjack has become very popular for good reason), an unoaked chardonnay or a sparkling cuvee.

It depends on budget but for a bottle of bubbly around the $25ish mark jansz or Chandon or bay of fires would be my picks. I'd be stoked if anyone gave me any one of them.
A nice soft rose that is pretty popular is the Rockford Alicante Bouche about $20 a bottle.
