    Have you considered getting tickets to Barangaroo? You can see the fireworks and they limit the number of people who can enter. Otherwise you'd have to get into the city very early to secure a spot and even then it's a cramped mess.
    Coogee Pavilion on the beach is a great place to eat and is kid friendly downstairs.

    Hey, I rang up the Pavilion early today and they said so far they are booked out on NYE however they keep 2/3 of the restaurant free for walk-ins but last year they filled up by 5pm! But we'll give it a go. Thanks!

    If you really want to eat on Coogee beach you can also try Barzura (beautiful view) or Sugarcane (Thai). Good luck!
