I was so underwhelmed by it all.
I am really disappointed, I expected a lot more.

I'm only 2 eps in, but I feel a bit underwhelmed too. I think they are trying to hold true to the story with some of the quirky things, but while they might have been highlights in the series when they had 22 hours to tell a story, some of them haven't gelled in a 6hr limited run. Some things aren't feeling true either. Trying not to give too much away, but I think the whole Paul thing is stupid. Jason was really the only one of Lorelai's friends to go to the funeral??? Where was Christopher? Sookie? I realise IRL, Melissa has limited time, but Sookie would never not be there for her BFF!! And while I love Paris, how they introduced her seemed stupid too.
But, I am loving seeing everyone again, and did enjoy most of it. I think it was a big ask. With all the publicity and the focus on the last 4 words, it's been built up to be bigger than Ben Hur, so I do think it would have been hard for them to hit it out of the park completely. I know my expectations and excitement were high! Looking forward to seeing the other 2 tonight (damn my DH for wanting to watch with me) but with the Logan storyline (which I initially loved but am feeling cross with them about now) and the NY Lines one, I am already guessing where it may go.

I'm also feeling a bit disappointed, though I'm not sure what I was expecting. Maybe for Rory to have her life together a bit more?
I fell asleep just after they showed the musical to the committee lastnight, so I still have the rest of episode 3 and 4 to go. Did they really have to show that much of the musical? It was boring! Not to mention too much screen time for something that has no importance in the story line.

I watched all 4 over Friday/Saturday night and loved it. I did read that the writers left it open so they could do a movie lengh episode so ppl could see how the whole "Rory" storyline finished. Who knows but i hope they do

I also hated the musical, boring and annoying when we could have got a bit more out of them. I'm on the last episode, autumn. Am just about to watch it. Some of it has been a bit disappointing but also good to see all the characters and town. Jess is hotter than ever. He seems like the one to me, the one that when him and Rory are together it makes you think yes.
Some of them look like they haven't changed one bit but others look really different. And Paris is great as ever, she kind of makes it, although some of her stuff is a bit disappointing too.
I'm not looking forward to the end now as alot of you say it's disappointing.

Subbing too as I'm halfway through the third. I love that Luke & Lorelei are happy (so far)! There was so much drama over the years, it warms my heart to finally see them settled - like, seriously, this has made my whole year! I love Luke I'm hoping they don't take this away from me!
I'm not really understanding why they had to be movie length episodes and not just a short season, like 12 eps. I guess the actor's availability had a lot to do with it. But some of it feels soooo unnecessary and drawn out. I find myself watching this completely unimportant storyline & thinking "Ummm, I don't care".
And some of the actors have really struggled returning to character - Alexis Bledel being one, I feel. As much as I love seeing grown up Rory. Others are totally shining and it's been amazing! Agree with Paris still being her fantastic self but the way her character was introduced just felt so contrived and unrealistic for her. I didn't like that storyline at all.
I'm dying with curiosity at the last four words but at the same time not having really high expectations. The way I see it, this is what Amy always imagined for the show, this was the way she always wanted it to end rather than building it up to be something huge or controversial - it was more the media that did that once it was mentioned. So I'm looking forward to it but keeping an open mind!

I finally finished it.
That could be condensed in to one episode. Everything was so drawn out.

I've been trying to watch it but have only managed half an episode so far
