    Default Gilmore Girls Revival

Anyone watched the new Gilmore Girls yet?

I pulled an all nighter and watched all 4 new episodes, only slept at 2am but it was so worth it!

What did you think? I warned DH I would be an emotional wreck today, I'm so happy it finally happened but sad it's over for good now.

Me too. I didn't see the final words coming and I definitely still wish there was more!
It's not the ending I wanted for Rory. I don't want to say too much in case I give anything away for those still watching.

I watched the first two last night and will watch the remaining two tonight.
I have to say so far I am disappointed.
Paris is great as always but so far I think the rest of the storylines are a bit blah.

I watched last night. I liked it although I felt like some of the storylines kind of dragged.

I think I need to watch it again spaced out when I'm not so tired.

I've rewatched the ending today. I'm not sure how I feel about it. On the one hand it was great to see all the old characters and the town, it felt so nostalgic.

On the other hand I'm not so thrilled about where some of them ended up. Rory in particular, I don't know, it didn't feel true to her, she was always so ambitious and focused. She seemed really lost and she didn't seem to have any growth over the course of the season.

And don't even get me started on the ending. I get that everything was supposed to come 'full circle' but it didn't feel like a satisfying ending. I'm wondering if they're angling for a season 2 on Netflix.

I loved Sookie's cameo, it made me cry! And Paris was hilarious as always but again, they didn't resolve anything between her and Doyle. It left me a little frustrated. And I would have loved to see more of Lane, we didn't find out anything about her life now.

They should have cut that stupid musical and focussed more on the characters we know and love. I hated the musical.

From what I heard I think that is it completely finished. The head show person / writers chick said that she always wanted to finish the show like that so to me unless they get someone different like they did in season 7 i dont think they will do it again

Yeah Amy Sherman-Palladino has said those last 4 words were how she always intended to finish the original series. But then in interviews recently she's been a bit cryptic and said things like its never really over so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Lauren Graham's face has been a bit puffy like that for a few years. It's weird because her body is still in great shape, it's just the face that looks odd. I wonder if she's had bad surgery. That would be really sad, she was so naturally gorgeous when Gilmore Girls first started. She's is in her mid 40s now though so I still think she looks great for forty something.
