@MysticFalls - LOL at needing to confirm you don't have a gazillions eggs hiding that they didn't see *rolls eyes*... I'm thinking that if I get to Saturday and they tell me I have 5 follicles and my estrogen is showing 3-4 eggs, I'm just going to trigger and not show for EPU.. Then have mad sex with hubby in the hopes I can naturally fertilise 5 burgeoning follicles with eggs.. They get so scared by the thought of converting, lest a hundred more eggs grow overnight.. We're even lucky to have eggs at our ages... So sorry they made you drive all the way just for a BT, but good luck tomorrow.. I really hope the eggs you have are good ones and you can just get pregnant this way so you don't have to worry about this sh1t anymore.....
So that's my plan.. I'm not going to show on EPU day and saturate hubby's environment with 5 golden eggs and a partridge in a pear tree.. The chances of getting 5 splitting eggs is -0.0000000000000000001% and the chances even one will fertilise is about the same.. I wonder if they will call the police if I don't show..

Lol @MysticFalls! I don't have to pay a cent until the day before EPU!!
I will have to come up with an excuse so they don't charge me..

I'll just cancel and give them some BS about finding out I'm actually pregnant (for sh1ts and giggles, that'll confuse them)

Good point about the money.. I have to re-think and finalise my plan!

Definitely cancel rather than not show up! They may charge you for the doctors time if they sit around expecting you.

I am bummed today. I know it's a long shot anyway at 43 yrs old but through research it's an even longer shot now.

Overdril trigger taken at 5pm apparently this should cause ovulation around 24-36hrs. Ummm iui is 11:30am today well less than 24 hours of trigger. 24 hours will be 5pm and 36 hours will mean it's 11pm tonight.

How long do frozen sperm once thawed stay alive?

    Is there any hope?

Feeling bummed. They should have said trigger last night

Hey, try not to fret too much about it. You're right, from what I've read and experienced later can be better after trigger. But different clinics have different takes on that. My iui was 24 and 36 hours (I had a back to back iui). Would two iuis be an option for you? Or perhaps negotiate a later time than 11.30?
Let us know how you go and wishing you so much good luck!

@MysticFalls - I agree with @dani251, please try not to worry too much.. I suspect they have trialled all the different times and found that might be the best one if triggered at 5pm? I would ask for 2 x IUIs, if you're really worried about it. The egg may be ready when the sperm are thawed and released into the wild.. It may take an hour maximum.. 12 hours is how long they live, but not how long it takes them to swim to the egg, surely?

Apparently my body had started to ovulate heaps of fertile cervical mucous about good sign. Cause of donor sperm they will only do one iui. We only got permission from the donor team for one iui ONLY ever.

So if it doesn't work its donor eggs for me.

Well hun, I really, really, really hope it works! Are you sure you've exhausted every single protocol there is? Have you heard of the agonist/antagonist conversion protocol? That one works on the quality of 1 egg!

    @fairyfloss7676

No I haven't heard about that cycle. Thank you.

We have already said donor donor eggs if this doesn't work.

I ovulator predictor pee on a stick. I did indeed ovulate at 24hours-29hours after that my ovulation pains stopped. So maybe they did put sperm up at the right time? Who knows?

I did find a study that did trigger after IUI and they were the group with the highest preg rates funny enough.

How are you today fairyfloss7676, blossomsun, dani251, amywillo86
