Did your FS say how long the wait may be? I was told 5-7 years !!!
I hope this year is our year.
Thanks @Waiting to exhale, I hope its our year too😊 In perth it seems its 6-12 months wait....but as a single gal it might be longer if people choose not to donate to singles. There is the Australian donor website but im not at that place yet to join them to try to get a donor.

I would love to join in this thread if possible?

We are due to start another ICSI round in March-17, which is a little earlier than we would ideally like (my daughter is only 7months old), BUT due to very low AMH levels time is not on my side.

I remember how amazing this forum was during my initial fertility issues and subsequent ICSI treatment.

    Hey there,
It seems to have all gone quiet on this thread but I'm still here after having my first and considering an egg collection later this year. Did you do the round in March? Hope all is well

Hi just to let you know KED no longer operates in Australia. You would have to fly to Kuala Lumpur to access this now..

For the recent poster good luck 😉

hey @dani251 - I assumed the thread had finished after I posted it went so quiet!

Our March ICSI didn't work (despite 2 x day 5), but I realise we were very fortunate the first time round so the chances of it happening again were slim. I had a month off and then went into another stim cycle this month (no frosties to use). Egg collection was yesterday and of the 5 collected 4 fertilised, per a phone call this morning.
This is my third cycle and each time I have had 5 eggs with 4 fertilised. I am consistent at least the plan is to put 2 x 5days back in, and I suspect none will freeze as per usual.

We are allowing ourselves 2 more stim cycles this year before looking in donor options. I realise starting IVF so soon was a risk, but on the other hand #2 could be a long process so I would rather start sooner (IYKWIM).

When are you considering starting up again? It felt a little scary initially, but I am now back into the swing of things and aside from the financial stress I remain positive for now.

@Aqua85 good on you for getting back into the swing of it so soon. It's a big step but I'm also not wanting to waste any time.. I'm thinking I'd like to get a freeze cycle done soon, as we only have two 5-day blastos frozen. Even if I had another two I'd feel we were in with a better shot. As it is I can't transfer until we're back from overseas in January 2018. I'm also part breastfeeding, so I need to consider when to wean my three-month old.
It's not easy! But I shudder to think of what my AMH is now, if it was 8.8 two years ago..

Hey @dani251. I'm in a similar predicament... just no bubs yet! I have an AMH of 7, and although we got 5 eggs with our first IVF cycle, two got damaged due to pick up/ICSI, but the three we had left all fertilised. They were Grade5AA so good quality but we had a failed fresh transfer and the plan was always to PGS the others, due to age. We tested the two, but one had two chromosome issues leaving us with just the one single healthy embryo. I'm hesitant to do the FET because if it does take... then I won't be able to try again at least for a year... and I wonder what my AMH will be in that time. The FS thinks I should do the transfer as it's there... and asked me how many children do I want. That's a question I never considered. Well, one would be nice but so would two or three! If I do the transfer and it should fail, I have an IVF cycle booked in... but if it does then I'm in a real pickle! I mean that's the ultimate goal right? What to do! I think embryo banking is a good idea... I have a week to decide and it's doing my head in! I'm 38 so I feel like time is quickly running out... if not already. Wish we started sooner - it's all unexplained infertility so all a bit frustrating. How are you going @Aqua85? I wish the eggs wouldn't fertilise if they had no intention to make it to freeze! All that hope... but as you said, you are consistently consistent so know what to expect. Hope this 2ww brings you the happy news you are after! Did your AMH levels change much after 7 months? Also did you gals think to get your levels retested as I've heard there another test that is more accurate? Thanks for letting tack on to yet another thread. x

I see your predicament i had an iui when my AMH was 8, but that was almost a year and a half ago so I don't know what mine is now. The pregnancy pauses things and you don't ovulate during this time, of course. But then there's weaning and other considerations after the baby comes. You could go ahead with your transfer and do a cycle after - when depends on your circumstances- or you could just freeze your embie, do another cycle and then transfer, so you'll hopefully have some extras..
Keep us posted on how you go and good luck

I keep going back and forth @Dani25I think I'll do the FET then change FS if this doesn't work. Mine is more focused on cricket/wine/retirement and I can't help but thinking I paid for his last luxurious trip to Tuscany (true story!) Too much talk about him and not enough about what he can do to help make this transfer a success. So decision made... I think... for now! And that rant really helped. I guess what I want from a specialist is someone who is looking into the future of fertility, and willing to help get us there. I value his experience but feel he has been a bit dismissive of implantation issues, NKC cells, and any testing whatsoever! We jumped straight into IVF due to my age/AMH and I'm so scared this last embryo will be wasted as it's all so unknown. Maybe my hormones, lining was okay for the fresh transfer but I'd like some luteal support at least to say I gave this little guy a fighting chance. I asked even about pessaries (I read about them on every other comment on BH) and he didn't add anything to the conversation. He mentioned Pregnyl to use a trigger if don't ovulate... and perhaps this is some progesterone support but I'm just not very confident in his lack of intervention. I mean hit me with everything! Even if half of it's unnecessary and not scientific proven... I'm willing to try. What medicated support did you receive? Again, sorry for getting of course, a lot of my angst has to do with our FS- with just a couple questions I had, our nurse suggested we change Drs too... I'm sure I'm not his only patient that is feeling the same... but she said it would be difficult to get an appointment so I kept my follow up after our chemical pregnancy this April. Let's hope this frozen embryo takes... and take it from there. Come on AF, I'm ready for you!
