@Minniemin - Sounds like you have taken on a lot hun but you sound very organising getting the Christmas stress out of the way so you can relax on your return. Good luck with it all hun, very exciting x
@ange1111 - Sorry to hear you didn't get any extras for your banking last cycle hun. Hope this is a great cycle with lots to test. Definate warrior women doing back to back cycles x
@Maxwellsmum - Thanks for the info on the allergic reaction you experienced it sounds very similar to whst I am having at the moment although never had it in the past. I did read last night though this may be estrogen related and apparently excess estrogen causes excess mucus causing post nasel drip which sounds exactly like what I am experiencing and it sux, will see if coming off the medication helps.
@MysticFalls - I hope your cycle sorts itself out hun and you can go onto epu. Hopefully that estrogen shows an improvement soon.
@Spazzyp - Oh hun that sounds painful, hope things settle quickly. Hopefully things will go to plan with your cycle hun and you do make it to transfer x

Please correct me if Im wrong, but isn't syneral supposed to suppress your estrogen and bring it close to zero and also stop follicle making??? Then your supposed to stim whilst sniffing to make follicles and thats when your estrogen is supposed to rise again??

thanks in advance. I dont want to give her the wrong advice.

    mysticfalls

Synarel will shut your ovaries down and put you into a temporary "menopausal-like" state Luv...so you will have a little bit of estrogen left in you (more around the 220-250pmol/L mark I think is the aim when stimming commences) If you were to have an E2 level of 0 you would be in Menopause and you don't want to be going there!!!

The 4 follicles may be as @Flower78 said just small antral follicles which is completely normal too I'd say the Lovely on the other hasn't quite finished down regulating with the Synarel just yet has she?? When is she due to start her FSH stimulation drugs??

Yes...her E2 levels will rise once again when she starts jabbing the FSH drugs Luv

No. it's not bad..(on the face of it) it all sounds pretty normal to me for a Long Down Regulation protocol (that sounds like the kind of protocol she is doing)

If you look at this link, it explains the protocols (though being American, they use the pg/ml units to talk of E2 levels instead of pmol/L we use here in Aus)

    http://www.advancedfertility.com/ivfstim.htm

As you will see, there is some E2 present in body when FSH is started. It's completely normal

@ange1111 - I don't have a low AMH so I never had a numbers issue just a quality issue, but in my last cycle I used Gonal f plus luveris and was the only cycle that I got a normal embryo from. I think I had 225 Gonal and 75 luveris with the luveris being added in from day 5 of stimms. Other cycles I had used pure Gonal or pure menopur.

@Spazzyp I second that - back injuries are the worst
Hope it improves quickly for you xxx
@Heyside thanks for your kind message xxx
@ange111 I've never used Luveris, only Gonal F and Menopur - and I got mixed results each time for no apparent reason.

Hi everyone else it's been quiet around here, but I hope everyone is doing well, including those who are having a break from posting xxx

Me too - although I was on 300 Gonal F and 150 Menopur which is like Luveris.

LB likes to use both (she switched me to puregon /menopur one cycle and I bombed).

But I've only had one normal PGD embryo from three stims. I'm getting numbers, just crap quality. Not great odds, I'm afraid. Normal at 40 though

@Phia - I got one PGD normal from 4 stimms and unfortunately for our 40s that's expected. I think I had about 31 fertilised eggs across the 4 cycles and so got one from 31.
@ange1111 - the difference between doing FSH like Gonal f plus menopur rather than Gonal f plus luveris is that you are taking the menopur from the first day of stimms and so are taking lh right from the start. Dr Sher is not a supporter of that as too much LH for older ladies is bad for quality and too little is not good either. Adding lh for part of stimming seems to be something he supports. I read about it in his website which is why on my last cycle I asked my FS to do Gonal f plus luveris rather than another cycle of menopur again. I wouldn't have known to ask but for Dr Sher's website and learning about it from the other girls on this forum.

@ange1111 - I can understand you being tired hun its full on doing 1 cycle let alone back to back. Hoping its all worth it and you get some normals. Warren tends to go off bt results hun and add in luveris if needed, most cycles I have needed it after being supressed all my hormones are very low. I am confused myself though if that is the best course of action with my pcos something I plan on speaking to Warren about.
@winsor - Nice to see you in here hun, good job with the assignment, its always the way though there is always another one lurking in the background, I remember that well. Hope your next step decisions become clear over the Christmas break.

I have just been for my hcg bt, will phone later for the results although I am expecting a negative. I hate that phonecall 😳. Just need to decide where to go from here.

@ange1111 I'm the same as @Heyside...I've never needed Luveris as my LH levels were fine so Wazza didn't feel the need to add any extra in to my protocols.

The little I was getting from the Menopur/Puregon/Gonal-F combo was enough. Too much LH will burn your eggs out too.

It's a fine line you tread with the stuff..too little isn't great but neither is too much which is why it's best monitored throughout your Cycle via BT as Wazza does & any extra added as/if needed.

Different strokes for different FS & all that 😊

good luck for your results call @Heyside. I hope it's a nice surprise for you instead.
yeah, the uni is never ending but in a good way. almost finished first year (2 more subjects) so it's getting there. I guess I'm just setting things in place in case our journey is really over. it has been nice to not be on the meds for ages.
