Hi @Amandamoo the scratch is usually done around cd21 and I think you can opt to have it done in either the theatres or in his rooms. Its worth considering hun x

Ok my procedure has now been changed to Tuesday and I will be saving a total of $450 which is better in my pocket.

@Heyside that's great news! Well done! Smart move to ring around for quotations first, I don't understand how these anaesthetists can charge so differently
@Amandamoo the first time I did scratch, flush, hysteroscopy during EPU which you could consider too.

Great thank you ladies. I will discuss this with Warren. I really don't want to take more time off work so the EPU day would be perfect. I can't wait to start jabbing

@Amandamoo it also depends on if you are going to do a fresh transfer, if yes then you will need to do scratch and flush before AF, if not then you can do it during EPU.

@LittleDove I had a scratch/flush in his rooms and it was fine- like a slightly more involved Pap smear. I laid in "recovery" for 15 mins then drove myself to work. Got a BFN that cycle but BFP the next month.

    Default more Wazza appreciation

Well I have an update - I started a light/rusty discharge the other night, with lower back cramps. Phoned Warrens rooms yesterday arvo, expecting just to be told to wait it out (like my previous clinic when I miscarried), but no. Warren had me in at 8am today for a scan, (what fertility specialists work on a public holiday? amazing!)
And there is a heart beat!!! Hubby was funny - he's an RN (we both are) but he almost faints when he sees me having vaginal investigations. lol. Warren threatened to resuscitate him.
But there is also a subchorionic haematoma. So am now on bed rest until March . And for you girls who rather liked the valium, I'm now on it four times daily (though honestly - I think 6 weeks is a long time to have brain-mush.)
But I'm just so happy that Warren cares so much, I really do feel like he's treated me like he would his own daughter.
Now I just have to think of things I can do in bed for the next 6 weeks (no 'nookie' allowed!!).

@Beetisweetie.. He is the best.. He has me on bed rest too for a sch.. Been 2 weeks so far and prob another week or 2. I am 12 weeks tomorrow and filling my valium haze with sleep and netflix. At least 2 others in the over 40's thread on Wazza imposed bedrest too. My Sch has started shrinking with the bed rest.

@Beetiesweetie Wazza is simply the best, he cares so much and a man with integrity. I am also put on bed rest due to bleeding and suspected sch, I am waiting for him to review my latest scan result and call off the bed rest. Nevertheless, plenty of rest at this early stage is good for lo.

    thanks Btae, Kylie764, and Rosie8888.

Good to know there are some fellow bed resters out there!
Just painted my toe nails for the first time in forever. I'm going to try to make this fun (in between valium drooling). Will sign up for netflix tonight I think. A sister is sending me up a care package with 'knit your own animal kits' which I think might be hilarious - especially as I can't really knit .

Oh and Kylie764, have you been super super strict with the bedrest? Are you cooking light meals and doing dishes and such? I hope my Sch starts resolving quickly too so would love any of your tips.
