Default Scared I had food poisoning 24 weeks

I'm 24 weeks pregnant and so scared I have had food poisoning ..
Yesterday I started with sudden tummy cramp then toilet for diarrhoea. A few hours later I vomited and have been feeling so sick ever since with tummy ache.

I ate KFC yesterday that's all I can think of. So scared now my baby will not survive this..
anyone else been through this? Hoping it's not listeria because even if it is doesn't it mean baby can still pass away anytime during the pregnancy or birth?

Am I being totally crazy?? Helpppp

This is a bit freaky.. I had food poisoning when I was as pregnant as you. It was from eating a KFC twister.

I was sick for a couple of days and was very worried.

Saw a GP who listened for heartbeat and reassured me everything should be fine. I had plenty of fluids and hydralyte icy poles really, really helped.

You could always book an appointment if you're really worried but my pregnancy was fine. Baby is now 4 and I will never eat KFC again!

I've heard bad things about twisters... I remember a report of a family who lived near me and they were suing our local KfC as their child got really sick which caused brain damage... They allege she only had a twister as well....

Anyway I'm sure bubs is fine... I had food poisoning at a similar gestation (after dominos pizza) and I was actually hospitalised for dehydration... I was told the poisoning doesn't cross to the placenta and as long as it doesn't cause contractions/early labor then you are ok.

I'm pretty sure you would know by now if it had come to that... Rest up I remember how crook I was and wouldn't wish that on anyone
