Default Mater Mother's Brisbane Public supplies

    Hi all,
I'm packing my hospital bag and wondering what MMH lacked when you had your baby there?
What was your stay like? This is my 3rd baby but first birth at MM.
    I'll be having a csection.
Bonus points if you can tell me what sort of gluten free food they have

    Thanks!!

Following. This will be my first public birth so I'm used to what private hospitals provide and will also need to be clued up with what to pack.

I'm going for my 36 week appointment on Friday Nicole so I'll ask them then too, and let you know what the midwives say!

Hi! I had all three of my babies at Mater Mothers. From memory there is a list available which details what you should bring - maybe ask at reception. There wasn't much - it was a while ago for me now but you had to bring nappies, maternity pads, wipes etc.

In your blue folder, there should be the information sheet that has all your appointments on it etc. If you open it up it has a basic birth preferences page, and the other page has a list of what you need to bring to hospital.

As far as I'm aware, they supply very minimal.

I had my 3 babies at Mater public. Everything on the list, plus snacks! The food was fine (but I'm not gluten free), but I was always super hungry (and thirsty), I think it was starting breastfeeding that made me so hungry. Good luck!

It's all on their website of what to bring. I wouldn't bother with wraps though as they have a tonne of blankets.
