We're new-ish to the area, well 18 months, and last year we were totally unprepared. This year my 3yo put on a little costume, we put lights out on the front gate and we had about 20 groups came round. Dd had fun giving out the lollies and I got to meet a few parents at the same time. Win win!

We have only had two groups stop by. Typical as last year we had heaps come by but I forgot to buy treats. This year I stocked up and we have so many left.
Oh well, belly bub seems to like sour lollies

We've had none luckily, I am the grinch of Halloween 😛 I loathe the whole thing, the theme of death and gore with the blood and ghosts and zombies; the overload of sugar; the consumerism of our society with cheaply mass-produced plastic junk in the shops, & the wastefulness of heavily individually packaged junk food; and the rudeness of knocking on doors asking for food. I told you I'm a grinch 😆 haha. I don't mind if other people celebrate it, but it's not my thing. When we have doorknockers, I just tell them we dont celebrate halloween & dont have any lollies at home.

ETA - even the word 'candy' irks me. WTF is 'candy' in Australia...

We've had a few but all at crappy times, getting dinner on table, kids in bath (2 & 3 yo so can't leave them) so I ignored door... a bit grinchy but I didn't put a welcoming sign or balloon up so people are presuming anyway!

We have been out trick or treating since 5.30, a street a few blocks away goes all out and by 6.30 there were literally hundreds of people in the street it was great! ( out of about 40 houses there are 5 that had signs saying don't knock) We met up with friends and cousins and the little kids had a ball, we went to dinner afterwards and didn't get home until 8.30! Luckily DS was asleep by 9, DS got a pail full of candy but he left it at the restaurant ( what a shame )

We've had none. Out in the middle of nowhere means no one is coming to our door!

We had a bunch, the kids always get into it where we live! I ran out of chocolate though so I took our decoration down and shut the front door so hopefully no one else knocks. Actually I lie...still got Lindt balls in the cupboard but stuffed if I'll give those out to trick or treaters!

We had a few and I also took DD just up our street and about 5 houses were participating. We only went to houses that were decorated. We decorated too but once the kids went to bed I put a sign out saying our little monsters have gone to bed but to help themselves to the chocolates and lollies I left out in a bowl.
