Default Second Time Mum With a History of HELLP

Hi Mums! I'm currently just on 4 weeks pregnant and I had severe preeclampsia which turned into HELLP Syndrome with my first (and only) child back in 2010.

I'm looking to connect with other previous preeclampsia and HELLP mums.

    Blessings ❤️

    Hi there welcome
I had severe preeclampsia when I had my daughter last July. Have you seen an obstetrician yet? My ob told me after that if I were to have another pregnancy she would put me on aspirin early on in 1st trimester as there is some evidence it can help prevent pe. Worth looking into. All the best for a smooth and healthy pregnancy!

    Hi hun. Welcome and congrats!
No personal experience with having suffered from PE before, however I was told I was high risk for it at my first appointment and was put on low dose aspirin, calcium and high dose folate for preventative measures.
I'm currently 34 weeks and apart from the occasional high BP, I haven't developed PE yet.

Thanks, Mumma's. She commenced me on baby aspirin, calcium, folate and iron the day we found out. I'm seeing my high risk Ob next Monday and as far as I have been told, I'll be assigned to the FMU at our nearest big city hospital. My Ob is the same one who saved both my daughter's and my life when HELLP hit hard and fast, so I take comfort in the knowledge that they're prepared and know to be in front this time. Last time, as with most PE / HELLP Mums, they wait and see. They've indicated they won't be pushing me out past 35 weeks this time.

Thanks for your responses and sorry for the delay in replying, I've only seen them now.

    Blessings to you all ❤️
