    Default Hubbers out and about

So - if you thought you saw another hubber out and about, would you stop and say hello if you'd thought you'd recognised them from one of the photos they'd posted?

And if someone thought they recognised you from BH, would you want them to stop and say hello, or would that be weird?

(I'm discounting here for the weirder situation where you *think* you recognise someone from BH, and it's not them!)

If I saw someone I thought I recognized I might not approach as I would be too shy. What if I was wrong?! Lol.

I'd be happy for someone to say hi to me though.

    Weird how that works!

I would probably try and private message them first (just to make sure it was them). I wouldn't think it was weird if someone approach me and said hi.

I have bumped in to a few hubbers at random places like shopping centres, the last one was at a Baby expo. Most of the time we wave and say hello, given how busy the expo was, it really wasn't a place to stop and have a chat.

I'm pretty sure back in the early days of Bubhub members who wanted to be recognised/meet fellow members would put the bright pink BH ribbon on their prams/nappy bags as a way of letting others know they were a part of the forum.

Does anyone else remember this or had one? I didn't have one myself but I do remember the ribbons.

If I recognised someone from a photo I would probably say hey if it were someone I had some kind of communication with but probably not if I didn't, I wouldn't have the gumption! lol

    Default Hubbers out and about

I'm really jealous about all these potential meet-ups!!! I would love to see what bubhubbers are like in real life. I guess my main concern is I'm worried to them I'd be slightly disappointing and far less witty 😅

I'm almost positive I'm the only active member here from Wollongong. Which makes me sad as I see all these smaller towns with 2 or more members and wonder what other forum all the mothers in Wollongong are using. (I think population 300,000). Typical me has to be different.

Ps I'd be happy for people to approach me!

I'd probably say hi I mean what is the difference in this then the local council mums groups where no one knew each other

I do like the ribbon idea though

I would only *maybe* approach a bubhub member if I was quite certain it was who I thought it was.

I would be really surprised if anyone recognised me. I've posted a pic of myself very few times. The last one I put up I had big sunnies on and it didn't really look like me!

I would actually be quite stoked to meet another hubber IRL

I'd love it if a fellow hubber said hello in the real world but given I've only ever posted a single pic of myself I don't think it's likely to happen. I'm also not sure I'd have the guts to approach someone I thought I recognised from here in case I was wrong. We need a secret bubhub signal!

I have seen many hubbers out and about. Generally don't approach due to me doing whatever I was doing at the time.
