Default What have you done/will do with your wedding dress?

For those whom have married, what have you done with your wedding dress?

What plans do you have (if any) for the future, saving it for your daughter(s)?

Will you ever wear it again to renew vows, dress-ups etc?

    Trash the dress?

    Turned into a Baptismal gown?

Mine is hanging in the spare room wardrobe, I have always had plans to have it professionally cleaned and boxed to preserve it, but alas haven't gotten around to it yet and it's not cheap either. I'm hoping that maybe one of my 4 daughters may want it in the future (not to wear as their own) but keep as an heirloom or turn it into something else. I would hate it to just sit in my wardrobe forever in the day!

So what have you done with yours?

I dislike my dress a lot! So I have no intentions of keeping it for sentimental reasons!
I swing between selling it or donating to the angel gowns people. I'll do one of those

I have done nothing. I want to sell it. I adore it but hope someone also adores it too.

My grandmother made my dress and I love it! I'll never have a daughter to pass it down to, so I'm thinking of actually getting it framed in a shadow box type frame and when we build our dream house I'll hang it on the wall in the walk in robe/dressing room area.

Mine was professionally cleaned and boxed up after my wedding. I've taken it with me every time I've moved, but I've never opened the box to check it. When my ex left us, I ummed and ahhed about what to do with the dress and the wedding and engagement rings. And the photos.

I've decided to save them for my daughters. I figure that one day they may like them? Even just to dress up in the dress and veil? Look at the photos?

Mine is in the spare room cupboard too. It is actually a bridesmaids dress made in ivory so could easily be dyed and worn to formal occasions. But not sure what I'll do with it.

Default What have you done/will do with your wedding dress?

Mine has been hanging in the spare room wardrobe for the last almost 5 years, I didn't get it cleaned after the wedding so I'm not sure if it's even salvageable now as the train got dirty for our beach wedding and there's fake tan on the armpits. I did try to sell it not long after our wedding but after all this time it might just become a dress up, although it will break my heart if it gets ripped or dirty!

ETA I just realized the spare room will be baby's room next year, maybe it's time to decide what I'm going to do with it!

I had it cleaned then dropped it off to the local Red Cross op shop.

Mine was cleaned and its in a box.

As a kid I loved dressing up in my mums wedding gown. Maybe my kids would love that too.

I'd like to think I'd give it away to angel gowns but I'm way too sentimental
