This to me is wow. Thanks for that.

As to Trump - I do not believe he has any idea what he has gotten himself into. I hope that America will correct this error in judgement in 4 years.

    I am so sorry @HollyGolightly81.

Never used the word rigged but here you go as aggressive as ever.

I've stood alone in here in my feelings for Hillary so go on then, lump it all on me.
    Remember, I didn't have a vote.
    Your own people voted.

Thanks for the fingers, that's tolerance of a Clinton supporter for ya!
    Virtual ones back!
Give me a break, you knew what you were insinuating Phony.

Sorry I have no tolerance for people who helped spread the misinformation that led to this man being elected. You didn't have a vote but in the era of the Internet and social media you helped spread rhetoric and I can't respect that. Could care less if I'm an 'intolerant' Clinton supporter right now. I am heartbroken for my country.

I think it's very important to keep a cool head right now.
If Hillary won you would hope there wouldn't be riots on the streets.
    Why expect less now?

    Anyway.
I feel bad for Hillary's supporters who waited for her and she doidn't come out.

Just because I'm sad for my country doesn't mean I'm advocating riots on the streets.

Can you please stop. She'll come out, she's only just conceded. Jesus Christ.

@Phony, you have indeed been gutsy in this thread, I'll give you that. I know you've copped it, and I respect that you have attempted to clarify your position and respond many times. I think a big factor in people's reactions on this thread is how terrifying the prospect of a Trump presidency is versus literally anyone else. I am absolutely terrified now.

I'll say upfront that I haven't read any of the sources you have linked and I don't know squat about the truth of any of the allegations. Here's why - I simply don't care when the alternative is Trump.

This is a man who said women should be punished for having abortions. This is a man who is against gun control measures. Who is unapologetically racist. Who is misogynistic, a criminal, a tax evader. Who will now control the Supreme Court bench. Who will fuel the fire of violent anti-Islamist feeling that is already sweeping the western world. Whose misogyny is rampant and has been so for decades.

On a local level, it is the every day lives of millions of Americans, mainly those who are already minorities or disadvantaged, that are directly under threat.

And globally, I have no doubt he will emerge to be a warmonger who eclipses the potential Hillary apparently had to be so.

His campaign fed on fear and misery. He used diversion and divisive tactics masterfully. He has given voice and legitimacy to the extreme right-wing who do not value peaceful conversation, who are raring for a fight.

So I guess what I'm trying to say, is that the media's attempts to discredit Hillary Clinton were dangerously ill-timed when it came down to her or him. Their relentless campaign highlighted to me both the power and the danger of a world where social media shares seem to have more currency than expert opinion, a search for truth, a willingness to read widely and consider not only the message but also the messenger.

Sure, she probably wasn't the best candidate to take on Trump, but once it was came down to him or her, well I wish with all of my sorrow-filled heart that she could have got there.
