I mean all across the board, from backers, investors, foreign country support, the media - he's got nobody on his side, and then of course being "hobbled by his own ignorance"

    How can he possibly win?
    He can't.

I wish I shared your confidence that he can't win!

The thing is - I think most of that is on him and the Republican Party and the people who voted him this far. He was elected to run for election, he wasn't just placed there.

I'd challenge that he is short of investors and backers.

Foreign country support - well, there's a reason and you can't say the things he has said about other countries and people from other countries and still expect support. His lack of diplomacy is dangerous. He was all about making the big statements to get media attention and that's backfired on him bigtime.

I personally think he started with a huge media interest/support which with more skill, or self-control at the least, he could have exploited to his advantage. If he had the ability to stay on message without acting petulant or aggressive then he could have created different headlines.

'Hobbled by his own ignorance' - I would argue is on him and his advisers.

And in spite of this all, he still has plenty of supporters.

I don't think fair really comes into it. It may not be an even run, but he's largely brought that upon himself. The fact that even lifelong die hard republican supporters are saying they cant find it within themselves to support him says everything about him as a candidate and representative of a party that many feel deeply passionate about.

From your mouth to God's ears

I haven't read the whole thread - but just checking - you're not suggesting the election is rigged, are you, like Trump seems to be suggesting?

Money, backers, foreign country involvement, media picking sides - sounds like a standard US election to me.

Trump complaining about a 'rigged election' seems to me a bit like those anti-vaxxers who complain that their mad ideas don't get equal play with actual scientific evidence.

    Default U.S. Election

Small local papers in the U.S are usually good to read for how the people on the ground are feeling.
At the moment Trump supporters are threatening civil war if he doesn't win. Mostly because Trump has said she will take their guns.
And Hillary supporters, the Hollywood darlings, have threatened to jump ship to Canada if Trump wins.

Not exactly sounding great for s peaceful environment after the elections.

There is nothing wrong with the comparison I made.
    I didn't specify a disability either.
    You read what you wanted.
My point was he's at a major disadvantage in comparison to her.
    All across the board.
    It's not a fair run.
I will be totally shocked if he won, like most people.

    What's your problem?
I'm genuinely curious for you to link them. And what do you consider 'Hillary supporting' sites? The many newspapers that have endorsed her the past few weeks, even the conservative leaning ones that have never endorsed a Democrat for president? Or do you have specific news sites you consider bought out by her? There are angry supporters every election, the tension during Obama's campaigns, especially his first, were huge. Everyone said Obama was going to take their guns as well, he was a socialist, a Muslim, not born in America, etc etc. yet no riots both times that he won. Bush's first election, he won by one state where the win seemed incredibly dodgey, no riots. That's one of the biggest things America prides themselves on with elections, is that no matter how tense it all gets there is always a peaceful transfer of power. Trump can cry all he wants that the election is rigged but his campaign imploding is all on him, nobody made him look like a racist, misogynistic, unprepared jerk. He did that himself.

    Default U.S. Election

Since obama's first election and the rise of the ridiculous Tea Party movement, the decision to use Sarah Palin as a running mate for McCain, etc the Republican Party has slowly been getting worse and worse and imploding on itself, Trump is the pinnacle that self destruction. The Republicans have had 8 years of being completely unreasonable and refusing to be bipartisan in their dealings in the government, disheartening their citizens. They caused this rift and now they are paying for it and will spend the next however many years trying to rebuild their party. But there won't be a civil war.

Ah Holly, I'm extremely time poor and couldn't link everything that I've come across that has swayed me against her. Sorry.
I am listening to a lot of the court hearings she has had regarding the deleted emails and coming to my own conclusions about her.
So much dishonestky, I really can't see how anyone could overlook this about her.

If you like her, that's fine.
I'm not here to tell anyone what to think.
Passionately disliking her doesn't mean I'm for Trump but, thankfully, I don't have to vote.

    I can't comment on rigging.
Who can prove it either way?
I've certainly seen some dodgy footage though.
