Same sex couple here and with one clinic both myself and partner had an egg pick up which resulted in 10 day 3 embryos in total. Not one of them worked (5 transfers all up I think because I did some doubles and some didn't survive the thaw).

Changed clinics and partner did one egg collection which resulted in 9 beautiful blasts (day 5) and first one we popped back in worked.. I'm now just over 29 weeks pregnant.

Moral of the story choose your clinic carefully!

Default How many IVF cycles did it take to get your BFP!!

BFP on the first go that turned into chemical. On the FET now for number 2 which looks like it'll be a negative. POAS all negatives. Problem is 98-100% abnormal sperm morphology plus endometriosis. We've done a stim cycle with HA icsi resulting in 9 eggs. 8 fertilised. 4 made it to day 5 blastocyst. Now we have 2 left in the freezer.....

We did 4 stim cycles with my own eggs. I was a poor responder and only retrieved 7 eggs in total from those cycles. Of those, 3 fertilised successfully, and we had 2 x BFN's and finally a BFP last October which sadly I MC at 8 1/2 weeks.

We started doing IVF as we simply had no choice. DH had a vasectomy some 15 years ago. At 42 I knew that producing a decent egg would be hard so have just completed a donor egg cycle a few weeks ago. I have had a BFP on the first (fresh) transfer, and now we are waiting to see if it sticks....

We started IVF as my DH had been through cancer treaetment. We had sperm frozen before treatment so IVF was the way forward for us. Unfortunately after we started IVF we discovered I had endometriosis and adenomyosis so it took us 6 cycles to get a bfp.

@faithandhopellove your story gives me hope as I'm loosing hope! I have endo and adeno too and keep wondering whether it's worth continuing. We're only on the second cycle, I'm in awe of you all that can keep going.

I got my bfp (now 15 month old DD) on my first frozen transfer. In my egg collection cycle I couldn't have a fresh transfer as I had OHSS. I got 11 eggs, 7 fertilized and 5 made it to freeze.
We needed ivf as I have pcos. I was 32 and DH 39 at the time. Before ivf we did 5 ovulation induction cycles (2 clomid, 3 FSH) and one of those we did IUI with no luck.
